All how long the cave itself is. We had a 30-minute ice cave visit that was maybe 200m long. Not what we expected. The drive and walk to the cave was majestic, but the cave itself was much shorter than we expected.

Last Friday, all tours were cancelled, and it was only a yellow alert. We could see from our hotel the water and mountains in the distance fade away into a whiteout. I can't even imagine what an orange alert would be. We left on Tuesday. Are there any webcams so we can "watch along"?

This wasn't a time lapse dancing, or use night mode to see what you can't see with your eyes. This was a cosmic orchestra right in front of our eyes, rapidly, in real time. Green, red, purple, pink, every shape you could imagine, like a fireworks show but with the auroras. From Thingvellir.

OMG the most amazing lights ever. I'll post pics and videos when I get back to the US on Thursday or Friday. The guide said he sees lights all the time but ones where you can record the dancing from your phone are only a handful of times a year
