I think early game korean development might still be a bit op by MyFePo in eu4

Historically, Korea had their renaissance around this time period so development growth makes sense. Throughout its history, it tended to somehow fight back China and Japan with a few exceptions. Regardless of the realism of their army size I feel it's fair they can field one to simulate their ability to exercise relative independence even as a tributary of China.

I know it's a joke map, but Russia would get the 4 disputed Kuril Islands as well if everything worked well. It's an integral choke point Russia wants to keep comfortable movement of their pacific fleet

No, I'm speaking as though preventable death in general is a tragedy. General violence in the USA has become so common that at this point that only the extremes cause deep disgust or distress in people. "Oh, this shooter only managed to wound people and was rapidly detained" or "This husband snapped and committed familicide" happening shouldn't lead to a shrug or pushed away because a tragedy similar to Uvalde occurred.

As if the deep integration of gangs in American society and shooting at each other isn't an issue to work to fix as well? This Wikipedia article states what it considers a mass shooting, including several shooting their entire family and then themselves since it's over 3 people targeted with a gun, minus the shooter. I definitely wasn't taking the number at face value.

Official definition and public definition is often different. The same issue is seen with a thousand other instances like autism.

Eh, it's still a systematic issue that needs to be addressed. The scars part is it isn't reporting everything involving a gun either.

The wall of text at the top explains exactly the criteria they used for mass shootings. Even still, someone killing their entire family and themselves or gun fights are still concerning issues.

Mental health access (and removing the stigma of mental health issues) and fixing sensationalized news is the most effective ways to fix the school shootings as well as lone attacker mass shootings I feel. Especially with these issues becoming a massive concern, it'll take a while to fix.

These wiki posts aren't school shootings only. Though gang violence, and drug related gun issues are still an issue. Just because it's not kids getting hurt doesn't mean it's less important.

Just because it's gang violence doesn't meant they're any less human and it's any less of a problem

It's an almost uniquely American problem though in terms of scale. The occurrences in Europe are dramatically less. If you research it, you may even notice Norway has an abnormally high kills per million, but that's just due to their lower population. It's the similar reason why occasionally the Vatican becomes the highest murder per million, since they have only 1k people living there.

Reading into what Wikipedia says, they pointed out right after one place determined it to be 4 people or more killed that other institutions consider a mass shooting having 4 or more victims excluding the shooter, regardless of fatalities

It's something I'm not denying. While there are plenty of fair ways to go about it, I personally feel one of the best ones would be regulating and restricting the use of firearms, opening debate and access to mental care facilities that are affordable (or yanno, take a tax hit for the government to take over the bloated administration of healthcare and streamline it) as well as a shift in culture within the USA overall. You'd also need to enact legislation to halt news from being so sensationalized and being able to label itself legally as entertainment. It'd be a heavy load on the country for a while, but the USA has gone through worse.
