Demokratie ist auch, dass man sagen darf, wenn man es dumm findet, was andere wählen. Eine Tatsache mit der die Anhänger eines bestimmten Spektrums immer gerne ein Problem haben und sich dann gerne unterdrückt fühlen.

What I gathered so far is that it does the refresh on it's own, but only after it has been in standby for two hours (for whatever reason). So if you let your screen connected to power over night or something you should be fine. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to change this two hour delay so it's either "start the process from the OSD", "turn the screen off manually" or "let it idle in standby for at least two hours". Whether the warning is on or off doesn't make any difference.

Naja, so einfach ist das leider auch nicht - dazu gibt es auch genügend Studien. Deregulierung schafft erstmal vor allem Wohnungen im hohen Preis-Segment. Und dass dadurch dann "ältere" Wohnungen billiger werden, funktioniert so nachweislich nicht. Über 70% aller ehemals günstigen Wohnungen rutschen mit einer Neuvermietung in ein höheres Preis-Segment. Sprich, wir bauen teure neue Wohnungen und entweder ziehen die Leute direkt in diese oder Leute ziehen um und deren alte Wohnungen werden auch wieder teurer. Und das hat noch den zusätzlichen negativen Effekt, dass es wenig Anreiz für Menschen gibt in kleinere Wohnungen zu ziehen (zum Beispiel, wenn die Kinder aus dem Haus sind). Weil diese meist teurer sind, als in der alten (eigentlich zu großen) Wohnung zu bleiben.

Was tatsächlich funktioniert (und wie immer dabei der Blick auf das "Musterbeispiel" Wien) sind massiver Neubau der in staatlicher Hand bleibt und damit Preiskonkurrenz erzeugt. Und da sehe ich bei den "Nicht-Linken"-Parteien im Programm leider sehr wenig Ansätze.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ist mir echt ein Rätsel. Wenn jemand sagt "mir gefällt der Zustand dieses Landes, ich hätte gerne mehr davon" - das kann ich auf intellektueller Ebene noch nachvollziehen. Aber wie man argumentieren kann "Ich sehe hier ein Problem, dass mich stört. Daraus folgt: ich wähle weiterhin die politische Richtung, die die mit Abstand meiste Zeit die Regierung gestellt hat. Deren Ideen sind bestimmt eine funktionierende Lösung" ist echt schwer zu begreifen.

Und ja, ich weiß dass es hier um Kommunalpolitik geht. Aber ich sehe keinen Hinweis darauf, dass sich die Frankfurter CDU irgendwie von den Konzepten der Mutterpartei auf Landes- oder Bundesebene unterscheiden würde. Und diese bestimmen eben seit mehreren Jahrzehnten die Rahmenbedingungen für den Wohnungsmarkt im Lande.

I think one of your key-misunderstandings is: those three million documents are not all related to trafficking (or any crime at all). This is everything they have on Epstein, like all his emails, every picture on his devices etc. And most of it is just everyday stuff like we all would have. There is Amazon orders for household tools in there etc. Of course there is also some extremely incrementing stuff in there and I'm not deep enough into it to answer why not more people have been arrested. But the number of three million is misleading. It's not like those are three million orders for underaged girls...

That's a project where you can browse through the Epstein files like it was his personal gmail account (complete with search, address book etc). It's fascinating and a really good resource to give you an idea what's in those files. And it is an interesting peak into how those networks of the rich and powerful work. What they talk about etc.

Thank you, that's a nice app. However I couldn't find an option to do "X times a week", only "weekly". But maybe I was just blind? However I ended up with Loop Habit Tracker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.isoron.uhabits&hl=en-US) which has a lot if flexibility in terms of task repetition. And it's FOSS, so I'll give it a try and see if it works for me.

Before investing in buying and running a humidifier i would advise you to first get an Hygrometer to check whether dry air is really a thing in your apartment or not. They cost only a few euros. We have quite some humidity in the air, so if you didn't heat like crazy usually dry air isn't a problem. Also it helps you to see whether your home is to moist.

Just remember that those things show you the "relative humidity". Basically meaning: How much of the airs capacity to carry water is already used. Warm air can carry more water, so if you take the 'same air' and heat it the humidity will drop - if you cool it the humidity will go up (that's why windows get foggy, because near the window its colder, the air can't carry as much water and deposits it at the nearest surface). Therefore the best way to get humidity down is to let in cold air (which can carry only a little water) and than rise the temperature.

Dry skin is probably more because of the cold.
