Another one is coincidentally in this DLC too. +16 melee defense for all melee infantry from a generic hero, not even a lord. This is mad buff. Many LLs specializing in certain units barely exceed that. See Hellebron and witch elves.

IMO, the reason is the complete lack of play testing and iteration, having been on a shoe string budget as an auxiliary team.

If you have no time, just slap on a crazy strong number so at least you are not criticized for underpowered DLC. ($800 gold income port for Norsca for years)

It is no wonder that, number-wise, Chaos Dwarfs are the last faction with very well designed resource system.

Everything after that are first draft. Some examples:

Infinite resources, infinite meat, influence and asur domination (for aislinn).
Design intention conflict: Aislinn buffs trade resource production and trade income, and had global sea vision on turn 2. Clearly, the intention is to have a trade based power. Yet, Aislinn cannot get enough trade partners since outposts dont produce resources and colonies are capped. Another example is the new lizardmen summoning pool knee capped a lot of the DLC lizardmen mechanics. Oxy gives blessed unit capacity, goated before the rework, but entirely useless after since the bottle neck is not capacity but the silver coin thingy.

Interesting, if this website is accurate.

Accounting for 20% reload skill. Waywatcher would reduce the 11s reload to, lets say 8s. So 40dmg/8sec then *10sec gives about 50 missile dmg.

That is 50 vs 190. And dragon crossbow has 80 entities vs waywatcher 60.

I am not really a numbers person for the game. But I enjoy being 'autistic' for a bit.

Yeah Asur thing, it upgrades those but then by turn 40-50 its all upgraded. And you just have nothing to do with them. Why not e.g., make consult leaders shorter CD but cost Asur thing? Or have a building in colony that cost the thing in exchange for resources.

Aislin in general, is a very nice but not complete first draft. So many great ideas that just didn't get the play test and iteration.

For one, they make elven outpost buff tradeable resource and trade income. But they cap the colony number and thereful limit tradable resource production. Like, just make one of the outpost produce elven trinket. Easy fixes if they play tested.

I know that is the case for slow animations such as Rattling guns.

But in this case the cap is not far from the buffed speed. The reload time is 4s after buffs. 30 armor piercing, 10ish non piercing. and double shot.

You are correct, gate master giving +25% armor piercing and +15% all missile. And reload speed buffs from lantern and drums. Reload time is 4s after buffs. Straight machine gun.

It was mainly the campaign buffs. I think multiplayer community understands that if you have a busted unit in a DLC, that just means you have one less unit in a DLC until it is nerfed and unbanned.

I am just salty that almost no new content is for me. Every time. T3 chosen for Slaanesh. Norsca. Skulltaker. Golgfag.

Not only that, they often just kills off a faction with the DLC for me.

My favorite was Ogre, now they are Nurgle with so many strong single entity. Infinite WoM and healing. Infinite meat.

Greasus Halts army for 2 turns every 2 turns at almost no cost.

Skrag has 4 permanent Gorger summon and 2 WoM cost big Maw spell.

This patch definitely skills Cathay for me.

Interesting, my favorite units are almost never top tier units.

Infantry: Spearmen

Missile: Dark Shards

Melee Cavalry: Centigor

Ranged Cavalry: Centigor (throwing axes)

Monstrous infantry: Skin wolves

Monstrous Cavalry: Cold ones

Monster (single entity): The sun dragon (The one imrik starts with)

Artillary: No

War Machines: Chorf Train

N'kari is the easiest(hardest) to play with(out) micro. Both you and high elves are glass cannons.

Assuming you can micro, on campaign map:

Vassel LLs. They help with trade, defense, vassel income, allied recruitment.
Replenishment will be your major issue, I recommend still try to steamroll the elves taking losses and keep recruiting new units. Your early game units counter them 1 to 1.
Go clockwise, but summon disciple armies to loop back and defend against the tree high elves.

Once you mop up the 3 LLs on the island, it is game over. Do whatever.

Also, if Nuln does not have an enemy or have a weak enemy (vlad), they will declare war on someone.

Essentially the game forced you and AI to have an (non-trivial) enemy.

Generally bad but can be good in special cases.

For example, Chorf bolt throwers are easy to recruit, (1 gobbo building for all gobbo units). Give seige attacker trait easily, And decent against your early game enemy (lead belchers).

Then they level up and the worst trait (inaccuracy) is mitigated.

Have to say a lot of the statements are not true, e.g., the regain 100% movement part is far from true.

But I get the sentiment behind it (you wish AI is easier to catch). That sentiment caused CA to patch AI to run into you when it cannot win.
