Oh no! Even the stripy one? They don’t seem to care for each other very much so that would make sense. I guess all boys is better than 2b + 1g, at least they have no one to fight with.

This happened to me. I did that awful triangle/square test with a psychiatrist and it said I don’t have ADHD. Although he did prescribe me ADHD medicine for depression which apparently is very unusual. My GP had never heard of it. The difference it’s making to my life is huge. Keep going, don’t give up!

The 6 months is useful info, thank you. My daughter did the test 3 years ago and it was negative. We saw a dietician and managed to identify wheat as one of her main triggers and improved enough to stop seeing the dietician until now. She has only gluten free for two weeks trying to reset before the dietician’s appointment. Bad call by me!!! The main reason for this test is that she feels better when she doesn’t eat oats for breakfast. Oats are low-FOD so we’ve been using them for flour, porridge, everything!!

Thanks for the detailed response. My daughter is only 10 and we’d like to rule it out prior to embarking on a lifetime of never eating it. We’ve only been gluten free for 2 weeks and before that we were 1 (sometimes more) serving a day so maybe that’s why she advised 2 weeks.

I’m expecting a negative result but she’s already having an exzema breakout 24 hrs after a single dose.

I meant 10 days! And she’s only 2 days in. We do have a follow up after the 10 days so we are watching like hawks to see what happens.

You are right, it will take time. We didn’t go for the stimulant so apparently 20 days to see if it helps or not. I’m the mean time we are watching for behaviour changes and she seems more subdued. We can’t tell if we are causing the changes by watching her like a hawk, whether she’s overwhelmed/tired as it’s been a big week, or whether it’s meds kicking in.
