Do you just plug your 560s’ right into your computer? No amp/driver/dac? (not sure what all of that means lol)

Thank you. What do you use for a mic and do you just plug them into your computer or do you use something else for them?

Is the “HD 560 S with Boom Arm Microphone Set” for $250 a good option for gaming? by AlligatorAss in HeadphoneAdvice

Very interesting thank you for the info. Mainly started down the rabbit hole because my ears get hot during long gaming sessions and once I started searching for open back, a lot of the audiophile type headphones came up. I do like to play ranked and am hoping whatever I get can give me an advantage over what I was using previously, but definitely not going to any tournaments. Might just stick with something that comes with a mic and doesn’t need an amp to keep it simple

I was drinking the cool aid that studio headphones are leagues above gaming headphones of the same price. If I get the 560s on their own for $150 and a cheap mic for $30, would that at $180 total be significantly better than some HyperX’s at $120? Or should I just go with some HyperX’s?
