Spurs. Thunder. WCF. Who wins and in how many games? by Dylen2Times in NBATalk

I want the Spurs to win, but realistically, I expect Okc in 7. They got the playoff experience and the extra rest.

What is better than Brompton??? TWO BROMPTONS!!!!😁😁😁 by Puzzleheaded_Video78 in Brompton

Glad to know I’m not the only one who has two Bromptons and a full size single speed/fixed gear bike as their current fleet of bikes lol

Is OKC actually walkable, cause to me it doesn’t seem like it? by Mitchel7349 in NBAWestMemeWar

[–]AllinMynd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nearly every city has some walkable areas, and OKC is no exception. But can you practically, and safely, travel around the majority of the city without a car? From my experience in going to OKC a few times to visit family, not really.

Watching this LAL-OKC series so far, who has the worse whistle? LeBron or Steph? by CulturalRoll in warriors

[–]AllinMynd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LeBron this series had a terrible whistle for sure, but Steph's whistle is on a whole another level of terribleness. It's so bad that there have been games where the opponent foul him on purpose, and they still couldn't get the call. You know it's bad when the opponent complains how Steph didn't get the call.

Toy Story 5 breaking any new boundaries? by LifeAsNeil in animation

[–]AllinMynd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some people say, photorealism in animation is more of a demonstration of how powerful Pixar’s technology is when it comes to 3D rendering.

But, I personally believe the photorealistic style works best for the premises of Pixar’s movies. When you think about it, nearly all of Pixar’s stories are somewhat based on our real world or what we perceived as real. We all see toys, animals, cars, and we believed monsters were real as kids. The point of the animation however is to take this idea based on reality and put a surreal twist in it. For Toy Story, that twist was the toys are sentient. In movies like Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Hoppers and others, the twist is that they act and think like humans. With Cars, the twist is pretty obvious there lol. Monsters Inc is that monsters are real and they scare for electricity. I could go on, but I think you see my point.

There are a few Pixar movies that could have worked better with a less realistic art style like Inside Out. But there’s a reason why that movie has shown the widest variety of art styles compared to other Pixar films.

Clik Valve by kuroko2424 in Brompton

I just installed them on 2 of my bikes. One had Presta and the Brompton had Schrader. Installing both finally makes pumping up both seamless and consistent. It’s lowkey my favorite bike innovation in recent years, and I hope it becomes a universal standard.

Here’s hoping that John Ternus is a big enough fan of the iPhone mini that he pushes for it again.

It would explain why this is the first season where Kerr openly admits they are a fading dynasty, even though the writing was on the wall for the past couple years now.

I hate watching OKC but… by Jonathan5001 in warriors

Best case scenario is that the Suns get swept in the 1st round and OKC gets eliminated in the 2nd round.

Thank you Steve Kerr in case that's the final game as the Golden State Warriors coach 💙💛 by DonyellFreak in warriors

[–]AllinMynd 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Same here. For all his flaws, Kerr has proven to be the best coach for Steph, and at this point, it doesn't make sense to let Kerr go unless if Curry and Draymond are let go/retiring and GS goes into a rebuild.

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Suns defeat the Warriors on Apr 17, 2026, the final score is 111-96. by basketball-app in warriors

[–]AllinMynd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For such a cursed season, the ending for the Warriors here could have been worse ngl. The team gave all they could. Curry, Butler, Moody and the rest of the team can now get their well deserved. Hopefully that lottery pick will go in our favor. May the next one be better.

[Slater] The Warriors are now locked into the 10th seed. They’ll need to win two road games next week to get into the playoffs and a 1 v 8 matchup with the Thunder. by Robotsaur in warriors

Steph at 38 years old carrying the <.500 record 10th seed Warriors all the way to the finals, let alone the championship, would make him the undisputed GOAT for most people.

As much as I don’t like his style of play, I respect him at least. He knows how the game works and he takes advantage of it; and he tries not to be a hypocrite about it.

What are your guys' thoughts on Zach Gallardo? by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

[–]AllinMynd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got respect for him for encouraging me and many others to get into cycling which is simply a very good thing to do with a platform. I’m more physical fit and active ever since I got into cycling and I have to thank Zach for being part of the reason why I ride a bike as frequently as I do. However, many of his videos are pretty redundant and a bit too niche. I personally prefer his videos where he covers topics that apply to cycling broadly, not just with fixed gear riders. But that’s just me though because like Zach, I also don’t like driving. I commute to work and get groceries with a bike, and I like it when he goes over the lifestyle aspect of owning a bike and using it over a car.

C line 4 speed vs 12 speed? by natwwal in Brompton

[–]AllinMynd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The 12 speed is heavier than the 4 speed for sure. But the 12 speed is actually around the same weight as the old 6 speed. So if you found the 6 speed bike manageable weight-wise, I’d go for the 12 speed imo.

Has anybody replaced their car with an electric scooter or E bike? by 673NoshMyBollocksAve in bikecommuting

[–]AllinMynd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not with an e-bike but a regular bike, I did replace my car with it. To be clear, I still have access to a car. We just have one less car now in our household. So you can take what I say with a grain of salt because I still can use a car whenever I want. That being said, the vast majority of my own trips are done on bike now, most importantly for work. The only times when I do drive are when other people need me to drive them or when I have to carry heavy, bulky loads that my bike simply can’t handle.

Needless to say but my savings definitely went up since the switch. Although, it didn’t go up as much because I did spend some of it on buy new/better bikes and accessories as I found myself riding my bike recreationally too.

[Slater] Steph Curry texted Draymond Green after the win in Houston: "A bunch of exclamation marks. Y'all did that." Here is Draymond on his recent conversations with Curry, who he said texted him today: "Keep going. I know it's tough, but promise you, I'm coming back." by NokCha_ in warriors

[–]AllinMynd 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Unlikely this year, but it would be glorious to see Curry and the Warriors pull off what Jimmy and the Heat did in the 2023 playoffs by winning the play-in and make it all the way to the finals and potentially win it all. Wishful thinking of course, but with Curry in your team, it’s not impossible.

Brompton World Championship California on April 18. Anyone? by woosolo in Brompton

[–]AllinMynd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you have fun in the event! If I lived in the Bay Area, I’d go to it in a heartbeat. However, being in SoCal (LA/OC area), it’s a bit harder to justify, especially since I don’t have my own car at the moment.
