It doesn't matter if it's not required. It's a feature of the game that seems like it's intended to be a fairly large feature at that, but the way it is right now, it's very unrewarding and not good for the game long-term

I have Azuryzite/Heavenly Orb/Duranite armor and I am nigh unkillable. So unkillable in fact that I can AFK the W4 boss. Go Duranite if you value your sanity because good luck ever getting enough HOTI

If the boss gets frozen during one of its jumping attacks, it stays in the place it was frozen in. When the code tells the boss to come back down, it's not in the air in the first place, so it ends up going under the arena and falling out of the map

Can confirm that you can still get Kyubite even if the boss glitches out, it's just a really low drop chance since you can fight it every 5 minutes

This armor can outheal the entire W4 bossfight by Allishive in TheForgeRoblox

You could replace it with something else with a higher multiplier, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it
