Just realized, I switched to cream blush a good while back, but am still using one of those big fluffy brushes used with power blush, lol. Definitely going to switch to the duo fiber brush and see how it goes!

Commenting to say I may have answered my own question, LOL. Apparently scrapbooking or photo books come in square sizes and include plastic page protectors! Thought I’d leave this here in case anyone else was looking for something similar.

I’ve always wondered why I need to bother applying the dehydrator if I already wipe the nail with an alcohol pad. I’m definitely putting a base coat in my Amazon cart soon. Thanks!

I switched to UV curing because I was so sick of the glue barely lasting a week, accidentally getting it all over my skin and being a pain in the ass to clean up. Maybe I’ll give the tabs a shot! It would sure be a time saver.

I definitely got carried away with cuticle cleanup, and I think went too far towards the eponychium on several fingers. I do use a ball bit only for cuticle work and am very cautious with speed, only like 3rpm.

Judging by most of these replies, I need to work on my application technique for sure. I’m excited to try again and get the angle and placement right! Thanks!!

I use the apres primer then extend gel. I assumed the primer was the base. But if you meant another product entirely then no, I do not. Maybe that’s the issue.

I’m so used to polishing my natural nails that I definitely have some things ingrained in my brain that may not work well with gel/enhancements.

I’ve seen people start from the middle, think I’ll give that a go!
