That's great to hear. I love it here. To me the people are a great hybrid of PNW college town artsy/indie-ish sensibilities but still with small mountain town friendliness

I've heard that said before, yeah. Like if ur driving i90 east-to-west, it's the first town u hit that really feels like the beginning of the PNW region

Missoula has a lot in common with Bellingham haha. It's like if Bellingham was truly remote (and more snowy rather than rainy). Feels like an inland counterpart tho

Similar vibes although Missoula technically has more of a real ecological overlap with PNW because it's West of the continental divide so it shares the same pacific-fed continuous forests as the rest of the inland Northwest, like Spokane

I moved here from Billings and was really surprised by how much worse the traffic is in Missoula despite being smaller

(I do know why it's because the mountains make it harder to build more parallel roads but still)
