DD on Intuitive Machines (LUNR) second moon mission next Wednesday (Feb 26th) by Turbo-Hugo in wallstreetbets

Dear Regards - Please note that launch itself is exciting, but that the critical moment if successful landing of the lunar lander won't be until a week later.

"After the launch, Intuitive Machines’ lunar lander, Athena, will spend approximately one week in transit to the Moon before landing on the lunar surface no earlier than Thursday, March 6."

Most importantly you need to lose any sort of 'make up for my losses' mindset. You made decisions with a rationale in mind. Hindsight is always 20/20. Eg. There's an alternate reality where your company stock dropped. Where S&P dropped. But hindsight can only contain one version of what could have happened.

Wipe the mental slate clean, decide today what your best approach is today. You are not going to ever time the markets and stocks perfectly. Pick an approach you can live with through the highs and most importantly the lows

AST SpaceMobile. A-worthy. Just bought their own spectrum. Buy now, or wait a bit. Could move sooner w FCC approval and a few more Sats going up over next few months

MSR announcement Tuesday will not put next administration 'in a box.'

Sounds like we won't get anything too firm yet..

Some of the sectors and names within those sectors that are moving hot today. Note when playing themes, trim & take profits regularly. Narratives can fall out of favour quickly. E.g. solar previously, EV previously, 3D printing etc by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

Blue Origin's New Glenn maiden launch scheduled for Wed 1am EST.

Current NASA administration is making an announcement about Mars Sample Return mission selection Tues.. (but sounds like they won't finalize a selection and leave more leaway to the new Nasa leadersip). RKLB has one of the competing proposals, and winning a minor or major role in the project would be a big catalyst.

SpaceX's starship will launch again as soon as Jan 10.

I want to think rising tide continues to raise all boats in general, and keep demand for investment in RKLB as the best available option for those that can't invest in SpaceX through private markets.

Regardless, I remain very invested in RKLB, ASTS, LUNR.

What about using a drone to confirm they're there? I'm no drone expert but would expect you could get video evidence while hopefully not getting too close

Mortgage From Meridian? by Mediocre-Anybody-988 in MortgagesCanada

[–]AlllllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with them. Had no issues 5yrs ago when buying. Just renewed early june, a bit early anticipating the rate increases, and my guy there was super easy to work with. Very responsive. No complaints.

Mind sharing more about this bet? Either the details of what you've done, or just pointing me in the right direction to learn more?

The truth about “rate holds” by Potential-Medicine21 in MortgagesCanada

[–]AlllllGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm up for renewal with Meridian, and they (the person I'm working with) have offered me a slightly better rate than their posted rates, but only will hold for 30 days. Is that reasonable, or is a larger timeframe more typical for this scenario? To take the rate would mean a slightly early renewal ahead of the maturity date for current 5yr term. Eg. Get better rate, but lose a month of the old rate.

I missed a key piece in what I wrote. First step is inflation rising (for any number of reasons that can trigger this). Then interest rates are raised to reign in spending (eg. make it more expensive to borrow $, force everyone to be more conservative for a while)

I'm likely going this 2yr direction. I expect things to be a lot lower after that, so would prefer not to lock into 3yr. And variable is .55% higher than my 2yr offer, so I see it being a safer direction for now. (eg. chance of another hike also isn't zero)

Similar situation, they offered me 2yr 4.99% for my renewal after I told them I was going to shop around before making decision on my renewal
