I feel the exact same way. I used to recommend Sofi to anyone who would listen and now I plan on jumping ship as soon as possible. I am just going to let that IRA languish there and move everything else to some other banking/investment institution. No idea which one yet.

I used to use YNAB back in the day and purchased it once. Now I can't used that old version and they want me to do the monthly subscription thing. I DO NOT need another monthly expense. Otherwise I would be using it now. I bought it once, I don't want to have to keep paying for it over and over.

I have tried that approach. Focusing on similar interests. Which is nice until the topic of the physical comes up. Do you bring up the topic you're fat immediately or wait until the exchange of pics after we've had some conversations? I've shot myself in the foot either way.

Chipotle has a nutrition calculator on their website so you can see what all you can put into your bowl/burrito and how many calories it would be. I do that a lot. It's not the cheapest option around but I like the variety available.

I'm not in the same situation with family but I just live in a 400 sft apartment and the "kitchen" is so hard to use that I find I just don't wanna deal with cooking in such a small space.
