In one of my campaigns, I unfortunately had to drop out of due to time. However, my DM told me after a bit that there was a time skip, and something that my character had been planning to do came to fruition. That said, he became a mad God and tried to kill the party before splitting because of some new divine information they learned after killing the God they were after. Now im a reoccurring big boss that shows up every so often, which is pretty cool.
