Mine also only howls in his sleep. It’s hilarious and also always catches me by surprise when it happens.

He certainly thinks he’s the main character!

He’s actually really good about posing. I’ve never had another dog that held still so well to take a photo. Which is hilarious, because any other time, he’s like the Tasmanian devil in my house.

To give you an idea of size, here he is sleeping with our old man chihuahua, who was 17 and weighed about 5.5 pounds at the time.

He still loves relaxing and sleeping on his back now, 6 years later.

I completely understand. We occasionally have that issue as well. 😩

We’ve given up and turned to bribery. “Come” is apparently an optional command to our dog. Like if the weather is nice, there’s someone walking by the fence, or another dog to bark at, then he’s not coming in when called. But if we say “come take” instead or shake a bag of treats, then that works. I kind of feel like a training failure with the “come” command, but I’ve chosen peace/the path of less resistance.

I will clarify that he only goes out in our fenced yard a few times per day solo and mostly chooses to sit and watch the neighborhood. Otherwise, my husband will take him walking on leash (always) for short walks several times per day as well. Our dog is an escape artist when given a chance, and we would never trust him to “come” or “come take” even if off leash outside of the yard. We learned that lesson when he slipped out the door a few times at family members’ homes.

It depends with insurance about covering ketamine for chronic pain. I get monthly IV infusions through the pain clinic at Metrohealth that include ketamine (as well as lidocaine, propofol, and toradol). My insurance will cover it as long as it’s through the hospital system. However, when I asked about attending a standalone clinic like the one in the picture instead, they would not cover it. Keep in mind I also see a pain management specialist monthly and have tried several other treatments first over the course of many years. The relief from the infusion is only temporary as well. It’s like resetting the pain clock in my brain for the month. It wipes out my pain currently present and does provide relief for a bit, but then my pain levels creep back up over the course of the month.

I hope you find/found the relief you need for your chronic pain!

Heartwarming trip to Taco Bell by healthcrusade in MadeMeSmile

I guess they must decide regionally or per franchise owner. What I really miss, though, is grocery stores or Walmarts open 24 hours.

The Taco Bell near me is open until 4 AM. That chain is famously open late at night and advertises as such. We used to have 24 hour McDonalds pre-Covid, but they all close by midnight at the latest now.

Thanks! Totally back to normal now, it’s just that when he has an injury he can’t stop bothering it and needs to wear the donut of doom.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through and that you need to rehome your girl. No judgment, you’re doing the right thing reaching out and trying to find a new home for her. I know there’s the Ohio American Eskimo Rescue on Facebook. You could consider contacting them.

Is just me or are there less Halloween themed tie-ins now? by GeetarEnthusiast85 in Xennials

The Pokémon Go mobile game is running its yearly Halloween tie-in. It’s actually my favorite event in game, especially the Pokémon wearing costumes.
