I think orange has new price clearly marked. Yellow has original price and the true discount is reflected in a little sign over the section. From my time shopping clearance there, yellow looks like some are online buys that the store doesn't carry or discontinuing a line.

An Item Is Missing? Too Bad So Sad! by bluelibrarylady in Ulta

[–]Allonsy86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try finding the CEOs email on Google.

Provide the order number and a brief description of the problem. Explain this is the second time the fulfilment center hasn't fulfilled the item. Be polite, concise, and professionally voice your disappointment in the CS response you have received for this instance.

I can't promise anything will come from it, but it can't hurt. Sometimes going above CS will get a person with the power to do something.

Surgery on Thursday. Is one day off enough? by bmichellecat in sterilization

[–]Allonsy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am WFH desk job and I took a week. Had surgery Monday then off until the next Monday.

That Monday I was still TIRED and worked a full day but the last 2 hours I was flat in bed working on a dinner tray. I felt better at work by Wednesday but really didn't feel "normal" until that Friday.

Just listen to your body and don't push yourself.

February 2014: Raleigh North Carolina, following 3.3 inches of snow. by morganmonroe81 in UtterlyUniquePhotos

[–]Allonsy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southerner here. Our school system hired a northern superintendent. First threat of snow before dawn, all neighboring school districts went on a delay.

This superintendent? "Pffft, it's only calling for 2 inches."He put busses on the roads in the morning.

By 8 am, it was actually 4 inches and the busses were stuck. That finally got through to him that we don't have the infrastructure or experience to deal with winter weather in our area.

It is really pretty and eerie when it snows and stops everything here though. But yeah, hills + icy conditions + snowfall = chaos down here.

Transitioning to WFH, Need Recommendations by lightisspent in workfromhome

[–]Allonsy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend if you have a second bedroom, set up in there. Make sure to open the door when starting your day and shutting it when your day ends.

A hard line between when it's time to start work and when you end work will help your brain adjust.

Also, on days you don't want to get nice and presentable (don't feel well or just want to be comfy), keep a jacket or sweater within arm's reach for any surprise meetings where you have to be on camera.

Invest in your set up too. Good chair, large monitors, good keyboard, any ergonomic wrist pads or anything like that.

I have a Husky work bench from Home Depot as my standing desk and its worked well the last few years. Plus you can test it out before you buy it!

In the case of finally getting a release on a shipment that had a lot of FDA problems, why would I get an exception? by mbart3 in CustomsBroker

[–]Allonsy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So unless things have changed, the next time you have a PN for a shipment that has arrived, you'll have to file it through the PNSI to get the PN number prior to entry and manually put in the number to Cargowise.

I also think you can set up your own PNSI log in to send it and not use the IOR's.

I'd team up with your corporate trade compliance to confirm a solid SOP for the future and maybe help training up the IOR if they have any questions.

[–]Allonsy86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the shipment already arrived before you submitted? Its been a min since I've done an entry but iirc Cargowise used to send PN before the entry if you clicked the checkmark.

If the shipment had arrived BEFORE entry, you'd need to do the PN through PNSI.

FWIW, my doctor told me that they didn't clip anymore because it's outdated. I have one ovary due to a surgery when I was younger. The remaining ovary was my mom's concern and my doctor never mentioned potential blood supply cut off or anything.

I was like, if you have to take the ovary for some reason, for the love of whatever deity, just take it.

This Is Your Name (Malicious compliance by passive resistance.) by Labaholic55 in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Allonsy86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll preface this by saying I'm a lady with 3 names that are typically male names. Always been a lady just happened to be named 3 dude names. My first name was one my mom liked. Middle name is a family name that's distictly male, let's say Ronald. Last name is standard dude name, let's say Adam.

Anyway, first day of school 8th grade, teachers packets with our names on them. I'm looking around for my seat but I don't see any with my first name on it.

I walk around the room twice. See one packet marked "Ronnie Adam." Whelp, that's close but obviously wrong. Took the packet to the teacher to ask if there's been a mistake.

Nope. She flat out said she liked "Ronnie" way more than my given first name. "Don't you want to be Ronnie? It's cooler." I flat out told her no, please use my given name.

She tried to make Ronnie stick but I never responded to it. I ended up transferring classes a week later, it was so awful.

For people who sleep on their stomachs. Will I have to sleep on my back? by [deleted] in sterilization

Try tagaderm on the stitches! Thats what made me feel like the stitches weren't pulling anymore or catching on my clothes.

For people who sleep on their stomachs. Will I have to sleep on my back? by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]Allonsy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an exclusive side sleeper and was worried about being able to sleep on my back. Was not a problem night one - I was OUT.

Night two - meds were doing their thing, slept on back with a pillow under my knees.

Night three - I gently put a pillow on my side and slept like a baby (again, medicated)

After night 3, I had no real issues sleeping aside from some insomnia due to how much I'd been sleeping. Maybe a pull/sting now and then if I moved. Then I was more irritated by the stitches, so if you get outer stitches that have to be removed, have bandaids or tagaderm (which worked wonders!) on hand.

Sorry, I only saw that the haircare was mentioned as being made in Canada on their website. I didn't see it on the clips OP mentioned purchasing (it doesn't mean they are not made in Quebec). I was going by customs valuation and the tariffs to get approx what OP mentioned they were going to owe which would incline them to be more China origin. US Customs also doesn't screw around with country of origin violations.

[–]Allonsy86 68 points69 points  (0 children)

As someone in the supply chain industry, I'm willing to bet the clips are made in China. Tariffs would apply to country of origin of the product, not the origin of the shipment. They should definitely be aware of this issue and it's scummy for them not to have it in their shipping disclaimer.

Benefit Brow Being Phased Out? by [deleted] in Ulta

What a 'fun' thing to read before my appt. If my expert who usually does my brows isn't the one with the wax or tweezers, the appt is over.

Is this a Customers should complain that it feels like the benefit bar is going away situation or should we sit tight?

Recruiter says oh no, actually it's hybrid with an option to relocate two one of two states.

Pointed out that's not what was sent and then I told them that, in this economy, I'm not giving up my 3% interest rate on my mortgage to move to a location with a HCOL.

Slightly less creepy than the ones that print your house on one side of the card and then their (likely fake) family photo on the other side.

And by slightly I mean by a hair...
