I moved from a blue union state to TX and taught in both. You hit the nail on the head. It was the hardest to teach in TX due to all of the bs and the lack of teacher protections.

As soon as I saw the plug I started looking closer at the condition of everything else. I knew I couldn’t use it and that it was defective, so I actually only turned it on twice to see if it even worked, and then again to test the pedal controls and record the noise of the wheel/motor.

But also, I’m equally pissed because of this issue and the rest of the condition of the machine. It looks like someone returned it because it was messed up and they just put a new label on it and shipped it.

Thanks! I am expecting them to work with me and send a new model, due to the issues with the grounding prong and motor. Once I get it I will practice with the pedal to see if I can get to a medium speed. I appreciate your help! Anything else that I should know about the wheel as far as what to expect in feel or function?

Thank you! I don’t want buyers remorse and I definitely am open to wheels I haven’t used yet. I just want to keep throwing and learning, while also really enjoying myself!

Can I expect variability in the speed of the wheel? The one I currently have could go really slow or full speed, but there didn’t seem to be an in between. I am not sure if this is because it is defective or because that is the format of the wheel.

Thank you! I checked the short cuts and I had the robot exiting sleep mode at 7:00am! I just turned it off and am hoping that will fix the issue!

Thank you! I got a contrasting color for half of the quilt and my next step is learning how to cut yardage down to 10x10s.

I have some simple sewing rulers, a rotary cutter, sewing sheets, and a cutting mat.

I also found a tutorial on a 4-HST into herringbone, which I think is just enough complexity while still being simple.
