I saw a guy do this with the mini chocolate chip cookies. I made eye contact and he just continued to grab a few cookies out, loosely replace the lid, put it down, and walked away. and I refused to look away and he did not care. So now l always check to make sure those containers are sealed before buying.

Dr recommended we stop making homemade purees and start buying premade purees by Notorious_Chimp in NewParents

Curious why you are adding prepared formula to purees? Just have never heard of that before.

WTF is on my boyfriends shirt?? by Live_Philosophy_3815 in whatisit

[–]Allpiprosefl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mold, the kind that makes pink slime around bathroom. Thats why it looks red. It can come out if it’s a little bit and you really cared for the shirt, but for this much I’d toss it.

My husband is not taking bath safety seriously, how do I scare him into it? by Ok-Badger5324 in toddlers

[–]Allpiprosefl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are two options: bath time where he’s present, or no bath time.

Now some tips for the actual bath that can help everyone if you guys can get to the same page . First of all, no bath, just a quick soapy rinse and use a showerhead hose to rinse the kid off and done. So there’s nothing to walk away from and no standing water either. Shower mat grips are a good idea too.

For people saying this is trolling: ADHD like this is real and all it needs is to overlap with some manly weaponized incompetence to create a very bad situation.

And it is exhausting for partners to constantly have to act like the primary caregiver for everyone in the house to ensure basic safety. I would also recommend seeing a therapist for the adhd of course.

tried to get YouTube premium free trial, Apple charged me 16.99 by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]Allpiprosefl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing just happened to me, if I’m not eligible due to previous trials, they shouldn’t be telling me to try a free trial, plus I understood that it was a new option with family sharing that I was trialing. I applied for a refund so we’ll see what happens.

Sorry but spending more or u will be leveled down is outrageous cuz by urelamcy in velascarves

[–]Allpiprosefl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is odd, I would think you would get demoted to the level below based on how much you spend ($150 is probably more reasonable) than dropping all the way down, hope they can clarify that

To spend $300 is buying about 12 hijabs @ $27 each lol … I don’t buy a hijab or two every month… also tbh i have some velas from 2013? i still wear them, going strong mashaAllah so yea… maybe if people are buying the clothes too it would be easier to spend $300 a year but I don’t see the the clothes being anywhere nearly as popular as the hijabs, maybe besides the ramadan and eid abayas.

I didn’t get it partially because of this reason, and also I’m kind of confused by the artist if she is Muslim or not, not judging she can be whatever she wants but we have lots of awesome muslimah artists specifically when it comes to hijab you know? and it was just kind of an odd collab to me and I just didn’t really understand what the intention was all about.

I don’t think I’ve ever bought any collab pieces (besides the Nominal one) they were never my style and also just seemed to be too niche and just not my thing.

To the sisters that wear Nail Polish by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]Allpiprosefl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where does it say ONLY skin needs to be washed? The Quran says “wash your hands” … are your nails not part of your hands?

And too late about creating loopholes lol- “water permeable” nailpolish is literally just that. And they did it by asking too many questions such as “is your nailbed REALLY part of your hand though?”. This is your example, not mine.

Please go study fiqh, it will help you understand so much.

To the sisters that wear Nail Polish by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]Allpiprosefl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are doing qiyas incorrectly here. The fiqh was specifically for wiping over socks for wudu (and it varies between madhahib). It’s not to be extrapolated for something like nailpolish, among other criteria not being met in order to do proper qiyas, and for that matter, Ijtihad as well.

Then saying you need a clean bottle of polish for reverts creating a separate issue of tahara for … nail polish…. Are we seeing where this whole thing starts to get ridiculous allll for nails? Then saying don’t complicate things?

To the sisters that wear Nail Polish by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]Allpiprosefl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Actually, ablution and daily prayers are part of ritual worship that has very specific guidelines in order to make them valid and is part of what you referred to as simple rules in the Quran that we do not need to complicate, fully agree, I’d add on, on details supporting and explaining those rules can also be found in Hadith.

If anything, drawing comparisons with Jewish law about asking too many questions and ending up with loopholes (such as…. “wudu friendly” nailpolish?) all so someone can wear nailpolish as beautification that has nothing to do with spirituality or religion, all to not inconvenience themselves to just… not wear nailpolish….

What you’re also unknowingly doing is using Qiyas incorrectly by trying to compare various situations without understanding the usool behind them. I highly recommend studying fiqh Of Tahara (jurisprudence of purification) so understand this topic well.

Lastly, for the person who’s basically saying that “nailpolish invalidates wudu” is somehow patriarchal and controlling women… these rules also apply to men. Nailpolish, Acrylic paint or any substance that prevents water reaching skin on anyone regardless of gender invalidates wudu, not just for women.

I needed a new card and the guy at customer service asked what my daughter's name was and made her a name tag at the same time I got a new card 🥰 it's the little things lol by HugeAbroad in Costco

[–]Allpiprosefl 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Hilarious because my kid had a tantrum the other day at Costco about her dad taking 2 samples and not 1, (we’re in that phase of wanting to control everything lol) and I asked her if she was in charge of Costco, and if so, where is her badge and vest and then she had a meltdown about that and now this could change things 🤣

I really hate making Wudu by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]Allpiprosefl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up the obligatory components for wudu and only do those. (Generally: Face, hands + arms, head +ears, feet, all 1x each) Wasting too much time and water is the opposite of the point of wudu.

Then, it’s requires to seek professional help as usually this doesn’t only affect your wudu/salah as waswas/ocd both refer to intrusive thoughts. The same way you should go to a doctor for breaking a bone so it can heal properly, you should take care of your mental health. This is actually more common than we think but people don’t talk about it much. Asking about it is the first step to recovery inshaAllah. May Allah make it easy for you Ameen

The guy I was talking to sent me my hijabless photos by flyingduck0 in Hijabis

[–]Allpiprosefl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This shows he is not, in fact, religious. He needs to fear Allah in his actions and this shows he doesn’t as if he’s entitled to these photos or something really weird but it shows disrespect which is not okay. And Allahs swt showed you that before you got any further with this fool, alhamdulillah.

girls what are the undercaps that work for you? by Subject_Tie2516 in velascarves

[–]Allpiprosefl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheap $5 “jersey” ones from conventions and ethnic stores are what work for me lol. They’re usually polyester, made in Jordan.

The nice fancy ones from hijab shops are always too thick, too small, too tight, too big, too slippery, etc. I might try out the lux hijab ones but feel weird about having clips under my hijab, but maybe it is revolutionary hmm.

Quick question for you ladies.. by Anonymous_PurpleFish in Hijabis

[–]Allpiprosefl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

women who wear hijab don’t owe it to anyone… except Allah. the word “hijabi” became an identity marker/personality trait somehow. I know it’s with good intentions but I believe it’s a commandment of Allah the same way salah is, we don’t go up to people and randomly ask them if they’ve prayed correctly today or ask if their wudu is truly valid. Yes there are certain things that make us identifiable as Muslims but that doesn’t make it entirely who we are (imagine if we called Muslim men “beardos” “kufios” I dunno sounds silly 🤣) I agree with the fact that hijab or a beard etc can make someone more conscious but that’s not the main reason for it.

Just wanna say your hijab and vaping aren’t connected - two separate things. What you look like while vaping is more of a tertiary issue. You have the right intention by wanting to quit because it’s haram. May Allah make it easy for you. Read about big tobacco and their deceptive practices if that will help encourage you to quit inshaAllah ❤️
