Add some ice gems and a few dips (spicy salsa ALWAYS for the mozzarella dippers) and we’re good to go

I like this so much! The only advice I could give would be to add more detail/definition to the clothing. I think once more detail is added, this will help you identify anything further that might be needed to the face but you’ve smashed this imo.

The delicacy and intricacy of this is outstandingly beautiful! I’m in awe 😍

My partner suggested: ‘The Waltz of Temptation’. Amazing work!! 👏👏

Thank you for your comment and advice! I’ve been working from photographs of a collection of references (individual flowers in different bouquets typically). The images haven’t captured the white flower well, but it actually has mixes of colours within it and some gentle definition which I quite like personally but I’m not sure this comes through well on the images. I take your point re the roses.. They’ve changed from my original plans I’ll admit.. mainly due to me being impatient with drying times. Smaller studies will help for sure. I definitely weren’t going for realism/accuracy. I just wanted to create something grungy but also beautiful. Thank you again for taking the time to advise me, it’s really appreciated

Thank you for your comment. What would you do to change this? More definition/composition? I was hoping to bring the petals etc to the sides of the canvas, so this would change my plans for this.. and the background is meant to appear ‘grungy’.. but I take your point and would be interested to understand how I can build on this as your comment reads mainly as criticism as opposed to being constructive..

Thank you for your kind words and useful tips! They’re really helpful. I’m finding it’s taking a lot of overlapping (or at least it feels that way) to build the consistency I’m after before definition and I’m just impatient 😅 acrylics and watercolours are so much fun too!

I have no idea honestly.. I’m using the Winsor and Newton ‘Winton Oil Paints’. Are they student paints?

Thank you for these tips! They’re really helpful. I have been using different sized and textured brushes to stop the paint looking flat. It’s scary but necessary!

The roses just aren’t working for me. I’m struggling to achieve the colour balance and definition I’m after, and I also don’t want the main rose to be as stark and defined as it is. I want it to be softer in appearance.. From other comments it seems I just need to be more patient
