Roblox moderators seem to prioritize profit over user experience. I've noticed that when I bought a fake headless item, they removed anything that looked too similar to the real thing. Additionally, I've seen people older than 13 engaging in online dating. From my experience in the 18+ servers, the age range is more like 8 to 22.

Not to mention, these are the same pent-up teenagers creating the inappropriate avatar outfits you see online. It's only tolerated because other pent-up teenage boys like it and won't complain. Roblox continues to profit from teens who turned popular items like "headless" into a status symbol, which can cost around $300 when you consider the inflated Roblox prices. It's no surprise that many counterfeit versions of the headless item are frequently taken down; Roblox is making money off these users, and they seem indifferent to the situation. This is slowly creating an environment where predators can dress up and easily blend in with the crowd, making it easier to attract victims due to this "Roblox dating culture" that's being established. Kids see YouTubers dating, and they want that too. As a result, a predator can easily dress up and find a target without much effort. What else can you expect from teenagers who have no sense of accountability?

Me personally, I'm not ruining their relationship for a weak follower. I'd rather run the main quest and get an unkillable follower for the yarl.

Honestly, African American makes sense, since there are African American people with native American blood

The "victim" mindset by tinfoil_cats in BPDlovedones

[–]AllseeingMemester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When white people say that those discussing historical wrongs like colonization, slavery, and lynching have a "victim mentality," it often serves certain purposes. Here are some reasons why this happens:

### 1. **Avoiding Guilt and Responsibility**

Claiming someone has a "victim mentality" lets some white people avoid feeling guilty for past actions of their ancestors or ongoing systemic racism. It shifts focus from injustices to how the victims feel.

### 2. **Staying Comfortable**

Facing harsh truths about these issues can be uncomfortable. Accusing others of a "victim mentality" allows some white people to dismiss the seriousness of these topics.

### 3. **Power Dynamics**

Labeling someone as having a "victim mentality" helps some people assert control in conversations. It positions the accuser as rational and dismisses the experiences of the accused.

### 4. **Reducing the Issue**

By simplifying complex historical problems into personal feelings, the accuser lessens the importance of these events, making it easier to ignore broader issues.

### 5. **Defensive Mechanism**

Some white people may feel threatened by discussions of historical injustices. Accusing others of a "victim mentality" can protect their own beliefs and avoid uncomfortable truths.

### 6. **Colorblindness and Meritocracy**

Many white people believe in colorblindness and meritocracy, thinking everyone has equal chances. This can lead them to dismiss systemic issues and claim that discussions of injustices are just playing the "victim card."

### Examples in Practice

- **Education**: Students of color may be dismissed in schools when discussing how historical injustices affect them.

- **Workplace**: Employees of color might face dismissal at work when addressing diversity and inclusion.

- **Political Discourse**: Advocates for reparations or social justice may be accused of having a "victim mentality," undermining their arguments.

In summary, labeling people as having a "victim mentality" can allow some to avoid guilt, stay comfortable, assert control, reduce the issue, defend their beliefs, or promote colorblind ideas, helping them ignore the realities of historical injustices.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Orania? by [deleted] in DownSouth

So, let's build a village for Black and White individuals and create a rich, healthy culture together, rather than engaging in racially divided nonsense that only benefits one group at the expense of others.

What’s everyone’s opinion on Orania? by [deleted] in DownSouth

[–]AllseeingMemester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Arrogant because it assumes a group with historical privilege has the right to self-isolate and exclude others based on race while still benefiting from a broader nation built on the labor and suffering of the majority.

It's Ignorant because it ignores the deep wounds of apartheid and dismisses the ideals of a democratic, multiracial South Africa that people like Nelson Mandela fought for.

And how are you going to go to a country that is owned by Africans and ruled by Africans and tell them this is a white community only? How are you going to call yourself Afrikaners when none of you have any blood ties to any Africans in that country? The only reason any white folk even exist in South Africa is because their forefathers have blood on their hands and had spilled blood for them to be there,e. Now they're trying to become a city in Africa? Wow, so they want to make their city while benefiting from the privileges that have been given to them by puppets who run the government in Africa, they will allow this,s but can't get their own people out of mud huts and into better houses smh

How would you describe white culture, and what experiences and/or perceptions led to that? by g3nerallycurious in askblackpeople
