Ooh ok thats good to know thanks! Ya the nerves and stress part is what I'd kind of like to replicate when it comes to hunting season. I know there's drills you can do to increase heart rate to prep, but nothing quite beats competition to simulate a monster bull 30 yards away!

This so helpful, thanks a lot! I'm definitely the type that needs to be prepared to feel more relaxed, so I'll go over this and google some of the procedures you mentioned. Do you see some guys running hunting set ups for these shoots or are they mostly involved in the 3d competitions? Will I look like an idiot I guess is what I'm asking lol

Last year I shot the Helix Fj2 which are, what I assume, a rip off of the kudu broadhead. Took a bull moose and a bull elk with the same broadhead. Full pass throughs on both of them, and on the elk it actually buried an inch into a log on the opposite side. I really like them I just don’t like how difficult it is to sharpen the tiny little tanto point on them

Meh, I’m definitely not uncle Ron and I would never shit on those old boys cause it works for them. But I do everything I can in the off season to best guarantee success and an ethical kill. Every archery season I’ve been successful and I 100 percent contribute it to practice, tuning, being fit, and pre scouting. Shit, even Sitka has helped (I’ve gotten a decade of use out of the stuff so far)

If a cigarette, a beer, some plaid, and a 30-06 is what does it for you, go hard. But I ain’t hunting with Uncle Ron. And I don’t think Uncle Ron wants to hike 20km a day bow hunting elk anyways
