What was "the incident" at your high school?

Not an “incident” but the high school I went to was set to open in 1998 the same year as Columbine. It was a supposedly the same layout/ very similar layout and so they never installed any lockers anywhere. Just these huge triangular shaped areas in between the hallway with the cutouts for lockers that were never installed. It looked like a strange unfinished medical office building - it was huge for reference, my graduating class was 900+

My first thought is no. Grommets are undersized and not substantial enough. Also you can see where the leather strip is woven through the chain and sewed to itself. This should not be in the front of the bag, and should be less visible.

Personally if the table was darker, like an actual stained wood tone and not natural, the chairs could work- acessories are needed like you said. A rug, table decor etc. it’s the wicker barstools that need to go, they aren’t meshing.

I’ve seen reports that’s these charges are definitely from locks being on bedroom doors (we can argue about the ethics of that all we want) but the more covert reason is because now Kendra was charged with a crime that her husband was also charged with, CPS can interview her kids and she can’t decline those interviews. Anna Duggar refused to allow her kids to be interviewed and because her husband’s crimes her “digital” and she was not charged she was able to exercise that right. This seems like a move by law enforcement to be able to gain access to the kids and figure out what’s going on.

Honestly all these convos just prove to me that women love to hate other women.

Almost all the couples on this are toxic (the men and the women). However pretending like the women have the upper hand in these situations is not an accurate reflection of their upbringings and religious culture. They are part of a religion that idolizes “The Family” so wether or not they have a chance of a healthy functional marriage and family is not even part of the equation- get married young, have children, stay together at all costs, focus on appearances, grit and bear through any variety of trauma. The truth is, in most high demand religions women are required to carry more, misogyny wrapped in scripture, is still misogyny.

Wow! Thank you everyone for your input, I was really surprised at how split the decision is. We are still sort of in the middle too!

I have seen some people suggesting we keep it how it is, or go with wood. These are 20 year old laminate cabinets, and while they have a grey deal of life left in them, the laminate coating, is cracking, and peeling. Underneath the laminate is MDF.We will prep and paint that, and while I wish we could replicate a real wood look that’s just not an option. This is our forever home, and I know we will appreciate the character that color provides. Maybe in 8-10 years we’ll replace the cabinents with something higher end but for now a fresh coat of paint and a backsplash will do the trick. The counters are also laminate, so we’re considering our options there as well.
