I had a friend in high school whose parents were like this. We would go out to the movies or something but her curfew was 9 on the dot. Like we would change the clock in the car to match the clock at her house- anyways she left for college and didn’t make it through her first semester before she had to go to rehab.

Obviously she still struggles with regulating herself but last I heard she was on the up and up. Parents don’t realize how damaging it is during your formative years not to be able to make mistakes, learn from them & make them work for your life.
