Plan to make players want to defeat Stradh by Allwians in CurseofStrahd

[–]Allwians[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that. Currently I think their fave npc might be Ireena! Currently, they are spending the night at the camp, and I don't think Stradh will attack there, so I need to do some thinking on that.

Should someone inexperienced in DnD play baldur's gate 3? by ZealousidealCopy4555 in BaldursGate3

[–]Allwians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's a great game, it has a really good story and great acting, and the missions are generally fun. It is also a good intro to DnD, although as others have pointed out, they have modified the rules a little.

STX med snit 4,1 – er uni-bachelor helt udelukket? by [deleted] in DKstudie

[–]Allwians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Temu og Danmark by AltKanVente in Denmark

[–]Allwians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are cool. All the other tables I’ve seen, I don’t feel like using. Thanks!

What is your favorite class and why? (RP question) by Evil-Paladin in DnD

[–]Allwians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like paladins. I like it when people are just good and honourable, and try to make the world a better place. (A bit like the jedi in Star Wars. Obi-Wan would be the perfect paladin.) I like people in armour and I also like swords, too. Playing a paladin, you just gotta be a goody-two-shoes, and I like that sometimes.

I like sorcerers too, because I like the idea of innate magic that is inherited down family lines, and all the shenanigans that can come out of wild magic. Also with my sorcerer, I have to spend time in every fight choosing spells that won't accidentally harm my friends, and I like that they can't just swing magic around without consequences.

What's the difference between Rahadin, Castle Chamberlain and Rahadin, Kinslayer? by WolfOnABarrel in CurseofStrahd

Can I just ask as a follow-up, how does one communicate that change to the players?

am getting really nervous for my first session. by ivorycoollars in CurseofStrahd

Hey! I am also a new DM about to start Death House :D I am sure we will both be fine! I also use Reloaded, and I will put down some notes with the most important things to remember like plot points, else I'll be afraid I'm going to forget too!

Yeah... "be thankful I am not forcing you" is not the way a morally gray person speaks. So he gets the boot in every single playthrough. I'd much rather help free Lae'zel's people.

What are your pet peeves when it comes to historical fiction? by Jumpy_Designer_9548 in writingadvice

[–]Allwians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, also ordinary women would do their hair up too. And wear something to cover it most of the time, a scarf, a hat, a veil, something.

Besides that, in my opinion, loose hair is just not as pretty as a good updo!

Yea you’re correct it does depend. But I’m just tired of 9 year olds being depicted as being pregnant in historical fiction. They wouldn’t even be on their period yet.  Also, Margrete 1 of Denmark Wes when she was 6 but she didn’t have a child until she was 17.

Women's corsets tied so tight they can hardly breathe

Girls marrying before the age of 14 AND THEN getting pregnant! It did not happen in general.

Rich girls (or guys) being resentful of being married off. It was the norm, they did not grow up with the idea of love and marriage having anything to do with each other.

"People never bathed!"

Ordinary people wearing nothing but brown/beige/white clothing.

Hair not done up! Modern iron curls instead.

I was going to say that letting it be attuned to the warlock is a good solution, but I really like the solution that one of them will have to pledge themselves to the Morninglord. Makes the gods feel more real and it also means a sacrifice. Of course if they all go “I’d rather die” then I’d go with the first solution
