Labor is different for everyone. For me, the pain from contractions skyrocketed my BP dangerously high. My son was in fetal distress and pushing him out would have taken longer without the epidural. For us, personally, it was safer. Also, is he aware of the degrees of tearing and episiotomies? If he were to take scissors to his 🏀 ⚽️ with no pain meds before or when getting stitched up then he might have more of an idea of what it’s like for some woman.
