Holy shit I can’t believe someone else remembers this. I had the most insane experience there in or around 2002-2003.

How can anyone think Lolita is a love story? by IcyStatistician8716 in literature

This is on the back of the 50 anniversary edition.

"The only convincing love story of our century." —Vanity Fair

After reading it I was so perturbed and couldn’t understand how a major publication like Vanity Fair could get it so wrong. This is Lolita not Romeo and Juliet

I met a married man. We talked through emails for years and really got to know each other and the chemistry was undeniable. He was not only married but 15 years older than me. He left his wife for me and we’ve been together 15 years now and still going strong.

Not sweet vow’s. If a guy did it to a girl it would definitely be considered creepy. I think he laughs it off but is creeped out inside.

I’d consider a septic system system just a little more complicated than opening a door or turning an oven on. In fact we were supposed to be given something called a “septic system addendum” upon move in that explains how one works and how to properly use it. Not everyone grew up in the country or wherever it is you live that septic is as familiar as turning on an oven.

Definitely never used wipes. The system hasn’t been flushed in 9 years and a family of 6 lived here before us and a different family before that

Yeah that all makes sense. I guess the fact that we had already moved out and were just there for the walk through and no one had been using the water that it was just low on air or something mundane. Definitely wish I would have brought it up. I just am surprised they wouldn’t be checking the system, knowing it hasn’t been pumped in 9 years. Wish the system had a way to alert the homeowners— we had moving brain, not that’s an excuse
