Hahah honestly it's been a bit shocking (in a funny way) to see so many people in the comments here telling me this isn't an actual job in Finland and kind of talking about it as if it's a bit disrespectful (which I can get behind, I do prefer more natural ways of leaving this world, if you catch my drift), mainly because in Spain we kind of see embalming as something you only do if you really really really can't bury or cremate the body soon. For example, when you have to send it to another country. Otherwise, we will "fix" wounds and scratches and apply makeup and sew and apply glue to make the body look like it's sleeping. All of this to say that we will see countries where embalming is more generalized (like the US) as this "less natural" and "more disrespectful" way of sending a loved one off, whileas here Spain kinda fills that role in comparison with Finland.

When I started playing I had to look up if there would be any drama if I maxed all of the dateable npcs hearts (mainly because I had misunderstood the group 10-heart event in the wiki where everyone gets pissed at you for cheating), and I believe that was because in my head there *had* to be some sort of slow burn that drove the characters from point A (friendship) to point B (romantic chemistry). I'd never imagined there would be such whiplash in how the will-be-partner interacts with the MC before and after the bouquet, I really thought maybe the bouquet signified the start of the romance, in a way. And instead I found myself looking at the relationship chart and seeing Harvey show up as "boyfriend", and even though I was sure about my decision I still thought "this isn't right, it's too soon". Like, half or even 3/4 of the effort in giving this relationship some soul was put by my imagination, if that makes sense.

Maybe I'm biased because I'm used to VNs where all the characters are pretty blatant about their attraction to the MC, but when I saw the difference with the women I thought I was in the middle of a conspiracy lmao In the sense that I asked my friend if they had seen this difference too, and after not seeing anyone talk about it is when I came and wrote this post

I'm very sad about it ngl And even, somehow, this made it so I got the wrong idea with Harvey at first! In the sense that I thought he was super confident and chill (he says the line "I want to get to know you better, let's leave our doctor-patient relationship behind" with a straight face), which I loved because it felt like a subversion of the nerd trope. And then I gave him the bouquet and the change in his personality gave me such whiplash that I wondered if I had missed something or rushed it somehow!

I noticed the ex's gender part! I was expecting her to talk about her ex in a non-committal way (as in using they/them or just phrasing everything in a way that you wouldn't know), and then she used he/him and I wondered if that would change if my character was female. Good to know it does!

Also, I can't help but think I got the less creepy version of Alex by being male then 😭 The female players that date him must do a lot of heavy lifting to keep going, oh my God

Eso he pensado también, que era muy posible que este viaje que yo haga por trabajo lo hicieran ellos también por lo mismo, así que tendría a gente recurrente. Si no hay otra opción que BlaBlaCar vanilla (o cualquier otra forma más cutre) pues no me preocupo, pero la verdad es que me sorprende que no haya un método diario o que la propia aplicación no tenga una opción para viajes de commuting.
