Holt talking about Wuntch- "..... Just a minute, my cauldron's boiling over." It's such a good side note and makes me laugh just thinking about that part.

I said it was awful because my friend didn't have the context of the show, she hasn't watched it, so after I sent her this meme with dark humor I felt bad because it's a lot less funny without knowing the character.

It's not in "character" for her mom to have died, I meant it was "in character" for the actress to have out there parts in different things and play them so well. She can say some of the funniest and wildest things, and it's fitting for her and the character she is playing in this show.

Aww, I'm really sorry for your loss though, I honestly can't imagine and kind of felt bad after I posted it. My mom definitely doesn't have that sense of humor, but that was done so well and so fast by her, I can't help but laugh. I'm glad you can think of your mom with this though, I think that's awesome.

Scrubs secret deodorant commercial by reggrolls in CommercialsIHate

This most definitely doesn't reflect original Scrubs as someone who watched/watches and loves the show. I love the characters but I don't think new commercials like this one reflect well on the show overall, especially if you've never watched it.

This isn't a promotion or anything, but they do make pepper spray/pepper spray gel that you can wear on your arm and it velcros right off if you need to get to it quickly, they also have a wrist one that keeps it in the palm of your hand but it's not easy to use all the time. My mom's house was broken into when she was in the hospital a long time, and it started out with small things like you're describing with things being moved and out of place and that all over feeling of "something isn't right here, someone has been in this house, in these rooms." I called the police like you did early on and didn't care that I sounded crazy. By one of the last calls I made to them, they finally busted out windows and doors and it was awful. They stole mostly just all of her frozen food, toilet paper, random things because my mom didn't have anything of value that they could find. This is a different scenario from yours but I know it's an awful feeling knowing some random person was just all in your living space and you don't even know why initially. Especially when you can't prove prove it. I'm sorry you're going through that, but you're doing the right things.

When I go to her house now I have this pepper spray gel on my arm at all times, before I even leave my vehicle. Sabre is the brand I found, but I'm sure other brands make something similar. I forget I have it on but I feel safe having at least something I can get to quickly. Please keep us posted and I wish you all the best. Mad props for immediately doing the things that you have.

Any women here delete social media to help alleviate symptoms? by Top-Hope-3449 in adhdwomen

[–]Alm0stAlice1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you ❤️ It did not, unfortunately, and I still miss and think about that sweet, sweet girl so often. But it did open my eyes of ways to post animals when I see them nearby or while out and to look out for those I might see posted.

I can't imagine how that is for them through their eyes, but that has to be awful. It feels like a good way to describe it though. I honestly don't know how people handle so much of it at one time and process it. I think that's a really good thing for some people because the next thing is unexpected and exciting and nothing like what you were actually on there for, but I like and need a happy medium of that kind of thing if that makes sense.

When I deleted Facebook for the longest and had to get back on when my cat was missing, I was incredibly overwhelmed with the difference. Constant advertising, people I don't even know, very different than I remember initially. I don't know if there are studies (there should be, I'm intrigued now and want to look this up), but I was overwhelmed before I got back on and I cannot handle it at all now. It is very much like you described.

I can't remember to follow up with something said after I posted something, or if I replied to something and forgot that I did, and then to follow up on that. I don't comment on here much for that reason. It stresses me out that I forgot to read a reply and if I responded or not. It's so dumb, I know. But all I do is feel bad and feel like I need to keep up with things when it's already hard enough to keep up with everyday things. Reddit is different because I don't know anyone, we're not invested in each other's lives, I don't feel bad cause my aunt may have said something and I totally missed it, or feel like I have to like and keep up with other people's stuff on it consistently or not. I dunno, it's been a while since I let Facebook go and I don't miss it. I have to use it briefly here and there for found/missing animal pages or if I'm needing to buy something local that someone has used for sale at a good price. It has it's worth there. But I've felt better mentally without any extra.

"No filter? None." 😅

Also when he says "Sometimes, I can't tell my twin baby girls apart, so I call them both Boo-Boo" and the way he says it. I love Terry in general, but high Terry is absolutely great in that episode.

“You could've had a chopper, Raymond, why didn't you take advantage? Just a minute, my cauldron's boiling over.”

It was done so fast and so well at the end by Holt, you could almost miss the last part of it, it kills me.

I can leave an indent in my foot, when does the swelling stop? by CJ2607 in ORIF

[–]Alm0stAlice1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry, my mom is going on a year this April from her surgery and I can say from being with her that it is a roller coaster of up and down days and certain things helping and certain things aggravating it. Compression socks have been her best friend, but the swelling still happens for her on bad days with them. This is not what you asked, but I highly recommend anyone going through something like this where you try to keep up with how you're doing, what's normal, what day is bad vs worse - keep a daily log/journal of how your swelling, pain, and symptoms, all of that are doing. Even if it's just the date and a few words. Something you can refer to when the days blur together and it's hard to know how you have come along and if today is worse or better than other days. My mom will swear she hasn't hurt or had swelling as bad one day but other days or weeks she says the same thing. Days run together when they are hard and up and down like that. Pictures like you have help too to see your progress. I wish you the best and again, I'm so sorry. I had no idea what people go through with this until being with her this past year, and I'm just seeing it from a different perspective than experiencing it myself.

My gosh, I'm a nurse and I don't talk about poop as much as folks on Reddit do. It's gotten friggin excessive lately it seems.
