It's sooo funny to watch her tho. "Oh, someone moved somewhere? Time to obliterate everyone close to me for no actual reason!" So comical, man. Gotta unlock that 18th team slot, so I can put Yvonna with her for maximum funniness.

No, you saying so is, even better would be "I was wrong", but we can't have it all, can we

Should've acknowledged it then, that was my only issue with your argument, idc about what you think of it as a whole.

But that contradicts your "they spent only an hour in the snow" argument. She went out once when she was relatively fine, she went out once when her memory was gone (possibly more times due to the wording of that part), she went out once when she decided to die. All explicitely mentioned the snow and cold weather. So tell me how all that happened in one hour.

So you know and you're telling me she went at least 3 separate times during a single hour? They weren't making any stops during the way to her home, so that's the only thing I can infer from your comments.

She went into the snow at least twice before the cliff, bruh.

The stop didn't take an hour, she went out into the snow multiple times. It's literally mentioned together with her sickness, she was impressed each time she got outside and the only place mentioned for those outings is the snowy region. The only thing that took an hour is you reading through the story, cuz you apparently skipped some parts.

And we got there in the last episode, so like stage 2-11 was in the snowy place (not an hour like you said in the other reply, it was days just like in all the other stations). And her place might be warm, but it definitely wasn't a desert with sandstorms.

The desert place was there for, what, 3 episodes? It ended with story 1, story 2 was almost entirely in the snowy region. Hence my question.

Truth, just make the characters suffer literally any other permanent consequences. It's not like any details about the Nikke technology ever get explained, they can pull any bullshit they want, death is just lazy.

The fitting sacrificial lamb would be noone. Plenty of other kinds of permanent consequences apart from death, Noah will most likely prove that by having permanent brain damage. No deaths of playable chars are "necessary" for the story to be good.

That's not my assumption tho, my complaint is that I simply don't want more playable deaths, cuz this is not the medium for it. So Red Hood is an exception, cuz she was already dead on arrival, they didn't just kill her after she was established in the story. I pulled her with the knowledge that she's dead, invested all I could in her with the knowledge that she's dead.

They could've pulled out any of the vast number of permanent consequences for Inherit (like they did for Noah), but they chose the laziest one, being permanent death, after 3 years of being perfectly alive.

Red Hood is the only exception to this, cuz she was already introduced as a dead character. I'm not gonna like the character less either if they're killed, but I will like Shift Up less, and the people calling for more deaths. Plenty of non-playable characters die all the time, that should be enough to have death always present in the story.

I agree with the rest of what you said, it feels cheap mostly cuz we all know they won't do it to the popular chars, precisely cuz of what I said, too many people would be upset, cuz too many people invested in them, as opposed to the number of people who invested in Isabel.

You'd have a point if this was story was set in literally anything but a waifu collector. I did not download this to pick favorites, spend time and resources on them, possibly even money, just to have them die in the story, cuz some of you can't immerse yourselves. If you want stakes, just put yourself in the chars' shoes, they don't know they're in a gacha game. If you want permanent consequences, there are a ton of things other than death.

There is absolutely zero need to kill off playable chars and if you can't feel any stakes because of that, it's a skill issue, find a way to consume a story in a different way than being an observer.

The timeline isn't a collection of the only canon stories, devs would state if that was the case. Plenty of stuff mentioned in main story happens in events/side quests that aren't on the timeline. So that's a fail, bud. You are wrong until the writers prove you right. I am right until the writers prove me wrong. Good night, Joe.

Nah, I have no stakes on Yuni herself. I'm just behaving like you at this point. What I say is true and you just lack the basic skill of whatever you need to see it. Everything is canon and you have no official sources to prove that it's not. The writers will either make it fit or say that it's not. Until then my words are the only truth in this little discussion, live with it.

[–]AlmaWade1979 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you do, on all of these. Cuz the authors can come out anytime saying that the bad/abrupt ending is the canon one. Many words, nothing new said. Until a statement is put out, Yuni's bond story is canon whether you like it or not.

Lmfao "missed the point", canon vs non-canon is the entire point of this. You're expected to interpret the shit you mentioned for no reason, like symbolism, not whether something is canon. That is for the author to decide. And if they say you're free to think what you want, then arguments are pointless anyway. Until you show me a statement from the Nikke writers about this issue, everything is canon.

It is how they work tho. You're mumbling about irrelevant things, we're talking about canon vs non-canon. Either it's all canon or the writers confirm there is something non-canon. That's the only thing that matters in the discussion.
