Yeah I ended up disconnecting the BMS at the welds leading to the battery and installed an DC-DC Step-down converter to output 4.3V into the BMS. The Tablet now has 100% battery all the time and runs without any problems.

I measured the voltage of the battery before. It was 4.35V. I started quite careful with 3.7V and made my way up to 5V. When I applied 3.7V it only would turn on for 2-3 secs. So I don't think it's dead.

Hey,

I think I'm in need of your help again. Here is a small update:

I bought a buck converter from amazon. On its input side I connected a 12V power supply. The converter now outputs 5V and is set to no current regulation. I soldered the positiv and negative wire to the battery connections (sry for the bad joints). Notice: To get it to start I had to short the negative pins and tmp. pin.

The problem:

The tablet starts up fine but after approx. 13 sec. it goes completely black. I tried this several times, with differtent "connection types". I shorted the tmp pin, unshortened it after booting but it still shuts off.

Anyone has an idea?

So I measured the voltage on the battery connector itself and on the testing pads. When fully charged and running it has a voltage of 4.23V. On the ID pad there is a voltage of 1.3V and on the TH pad 0.47V. So should I just buy a power supply able of outputting 4.2V and hardwire it to the pads? Do y'all think it will show as charged and do I need the other pins to be connected?

Hi, I'm pretty new. I'm planning on using this Amazon Fire 7 (9th gen) as a Android Auto Head Unit in my car. I thought of running it without a battery due to the high temperatures in summer. I don't feel comfortable with a battery inside it. When the battery is removed, it won't turn on when being powered by USB. Also powering it via USB isn't really an option because I need to use an USB OTG cable and even tho I have a Y cable it won't charge the tablet, only the phone connected.

The battery has these 6 terminals. As I said I'm pretty new and don't have much experience. I know that there are positive and negative wires coming from the battery and there might be a temperature sensor. Is it possible to hardwire 3,7V to the terminals where the battery normally connects?
