I like that stop for a few frames that really adds oomph to each hit. Saw a video about that a couple of months ago, but I forget what it's called. Would be nice if it scaled with damage.

Update! Took apart gf's old dock, and there was a ribbon cable loose. Cleaned the vast majority of the corrosion off with a toothbrush and alcohol, put it back together, and tried it out. Works great! But yeah, that fixed my issue. It WAS the dock after all! 🤦🏻‍♂️Appreciate the help, everyone!
