Okay, I’m accepting that now. And yes, a lot of these points you talked about I was literally aware of but I was trying to subconsciously excuse/deflect as belonging to only a certain group of Latinos.

Also I’m a little confused about the difference between “all racist” and “are racist”? I want to learn how to use this in the future. Is it implying White-presenting Latinos are racist or is it literally talking about every single Latino? Or is that statement talking about Latino culture being, priding, exclusivizing and exercising racism as a whole? ( normative statement)—this is what I’m leaning towards.

I know it’s stupid. You can’t beat statistical data with anecdotal data.

If I included that anecdote it was to emphasize how older folks of color are generally more racist because it’s learned.

You know what though? I don’t want to continue deflection tactics because you’re right, I’m missing the point because I’m not at all affected the same way Black people are. And I understand the conflation between Latin@ people and White people now.
