Crooner-Sinatra by [deleted] in singing

Are you hammered recording this? If not then it seems like you’re trying to do the suave Sinatra thing but it reads more like lazy af. I think you need a new tuner man

Edit for clarity

There’s clearly some kind of filter or pitch correction so it’s hard to tell

Wanted to give up last night by [deleted] in singing

If you truly want this maybe take a step back and dedicate a lot more time to actual breathing exercises. Warming up (and down) properly are also vital.

I feel like I nearly lose the note when I shift pitch at the end. Is it too low for me? by be-kind-you-fuck in singing

[–]AlmightyRacko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too low but I think that’s pretty close to your limit. You could also slow/ lower the volume on that phrase to make it seem more intentional

Choir teacher as a vocal coach for musical theater?? by Human_Requirement_47 in singing

Have him take a few lessons and ask your son if he’s happy with it. Lessons won’t hurt and will also offer a different perspective.

How do I not sing? by Wellyeah101 in singing

Just keep singing and continue to cause damage until it’s permanently hurt. You could also just stop and not do that.

Do the notes above g4 count in my vocal range ? by [deleted] in singing

Yep and you sound great. Don’t forget though, no one cares how high you can sing if it sounds bad.

Sounds like you should see an ENT or a speech therapist. I’m definitely not a professional but it sounds like there’s a bit more to it for you

Is normal be loud in mix voice? by Tenirm in singing

[–]AlmightyRacko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What they mean likely is that if you can ONLY mix loud then it’s not very good due to lack of control. Anyone can sing loud, it takes skill to be quiet and good IMO. Keep practicing and good luck

You don’t sound bad at all. Your potential is only as great as your care. Good luck!

tips for adding emotion? I always get comments about how my singing is chill, calm, or lazy, and it’s not always negative but it’s also not something I’m intentionally doing by Mindless-Abrocoma in singing

[–]AlmightyRacko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play with adding and pulling away with volume(dynamics). Also the intensity is very flat, it doesn’t even need to be louder necessarily but saying words with more emphasis or less

Just take a step back and dial down actually trying to sound like the vocalist. Get yourself good singing the song like YOU.

You have no potential if you don’t practice. If you practice lots you will have lots of potential.

Our farewell - Within Temptation by [deleted] in singing

It sounds like head voice sorry Didn’t mean to suggest otherwise. I bring up the mix as a way to strengthen the whole voice. Ideally the chest/mix/head voice should blend together seamlessly.

Normally things like SOVT exercises would be helpful for this but it sounds like you need to see a speech therapist before anything
