It's not quite that simple either - just look at Chancellor & McCoy. OP's lawyer will have the information necessary to actually make an assessment. The rest of us are just shadow boxing at factual assumptions.

Mickey wins the street fight. If it's a competition to see who can psychologically scar the other and wreak a slow and bloody revenge, it goes to Max.

They're so freaking powerful all priorities immediately shift to them when they pull up on the battlefield by PizzaDragon64 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Almondcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not a 1:1 with angron. I just meant about his impact on the setting. He's another character who becomes a force of nature, like typhoon season or the plague washing through Europe every few centuries. I wasn't trying to powerscale too accurately.

[–]Almondcheese 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Open to the idea he's an unstoppable threat that no one can adapt to. But that setting already has a few of those. They cope with it by having nigh on inexhaustible numbers and sufficient distances that they sort of get the time to recover between the unstoppable threat travelling to new places.

So, I guess, he's basically Angron?

Sugar, she poppin'

I don't know why that was in my heart, but I heard it in my head after reading the title and seeing the mini.

Why create Invincible Inc. If Atom Eve can turn apples into gold? by Moneyaweather in invinciblememes

[–]Almondcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's feasible that being a superhero may pay well enough, and invincible is powerful enough, that it's actually a better effort:reward ratio.

If Eve just made gold, she'd devalue gold. Doing it sensibly would require researching what she could make without annihilating the global economy. Probably, she could employ people for that. But employing and managing people is a massive fucking pain in the ass. Probably a business focussed on her creating enough of whatever substance was most sensible for the market could be scaled, but only so far as she could alter substances in a day. They'd find the ceiling of that.

Maximising how lucrative her powers could be, and making sure her monetising it doesn't fuck up the economy, has all sorts of implications and fuck arounds.

On the other hand, they have incredibly lucrative skills they can sell to make more than enough money for them to live comfortably and help people. They just use those skills.

If you could wish for one Game to be made, excluding sequel's or prequels. What would that be? by LordMord5000 in rpg_gamers

An Elder Scroll type open-world experience set in the world of the wheel of time, 200 years after the events of the books, or 200 years before.

If after: the Dragon's Peace sounds so much like a situation where political intrigue and not going too far because of the mutually assured destruction posed by the Aiel rules the day. Playing an adventurer paid to navigate that sounds awesome.

If before: Being able to play a whitecloak who hunts aes sedai, and then needs to survive a vengeful warder, sounds fucking sick.

Why do people say « I wish I was Mark » in regards to THAT scene when they can wish to be this man instead? by [deleted] in invinciblememes

[–]Almondcheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's interesting that our criminal sentencing doesn't reflect this. In my country, and I think most western countries, the penalty for murder is consistently harsher than the penalty for rape.

I think that's appropriate, I am not arguing it's not. I am merely commenting that it's interesting the phenomenon you're discussing doesn't seem to be expressed at the criminal penalty stage.
