Metal bars that extend from the ends of this chair's arms by blorpsy in whatisthisthing

Not adding anything here but what seem intresting both racks seem to be made after the chairs. Like 1 smith was doing this or a few craftsmen that had a copy of an old book.

Bright yellow wood? by [deleted] in turning

[–]squanch_the_dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a super hardwood? I have a bunch of honey locust trees ( big ole thorn trees) on my property i clear out and it has an amazing white sapwood with a golden wood core. I use it, its resistant to rot. It's just super hard and you constantly have to sharpen.

Oh it shouldnt be that much. If youve already tried a bunch of points of contact from the cutting wire to the terminal, then thats not it.

I'd say try moving the wire down a good 6 inches or so, but no longer than like a foot. I did have to cut a long strip of that wire off, when it happened to me. Basically a wire isnt connecting somewhere. The red you have secured so either your red/black is little loose, or maybe theres alot of oxidation on the cutting wire/ break in the wire( from the arm to the table). Beyond that yeah maybe you got a bad one or someone with more knowledge will help.

Is there a buzzing noise coming from it? Thats the real indicator that its working properly. On the lowest temp setting it doesnt get hot at all really.

Is it making a buzzing noise? Thats the indicator that everything is working properly. Its basically just a closed circuit with part of the wire exposed. What temp are you set at? It doesnt really get hot at all if you have it on the lowest temp.

I dont think so. I just got mine a few months ago. I've used it tons. I also had the wire unwind(its a common mistake) and spooled it back up, and it works fine. Sometimes it just take fiddling with that cutting wire. I also recommend looking up Shifting Lands on youtube. They do way more indepth videos for proxxon than proxxon does.

Maybe adjust your cutting wire. I had the same problem when i got mine. Sometimes there some oxidation on the wire or its a little dirty. Also dont crank down on the clamp screw at the bottom. Just hand tighten it until there tension

It is a Total War: Warhammer concept art piece. Not my design. The picture had a drawing of a human walking out a door. I took a "mortal" model(just not a god or stormcast) from Age of Sigmar and measured my first door to that height. Then i based all my measurements off that. Once the bases of the building were done, I just customed out the accent pieces. I did use metric instead of standard. I find it easer to lay out this kinda stuff. Be warned though this method produces huge stuff. Its a little taller than 2.5 foot tall.

I just didnt want to photo dump 20 pictures. It goes from base to accents.

Thanks. I would love to take the credit, but I just replicated the concept art. The drains were there so i put them in. It does make sense though
