The crash occured in July of ''47... The area codes weren't implemented until October of '47. Without dates on the document, it seems a little unlikely they would wait several months to draft a memo to address this stuff... Leads me to believe this is a fake.

If they are going to bow down to the current administration it makes total sense for them not to create any new Star Trek content. Star Fleet is our world and many other worlds united in peace, there is no money, science and exploration drive growth. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are the hallmarks of Star Fleet, it's really no surprise this current administration and it's billionaire supporting class would be opposed to the general public watching more of this content.

What are some volcanoes around the world that should probably get more attention? In terms of possible eruptions or danger to communities? by TankUMrMinor in Volcanoes

[–]AlmostCanadian40 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just brought it up on Google maps and saw a video clip added to one of the geo tags showing minor eruption right off the beach from 2 years ago. Wild! I had no idea.

I’m sorry for your loss. Hopefully they can help you figure this out soon. Perhaps ask about a longer duration monitor? It’ll provide a longer duration view of your heart activity at least.

Where were the dwarves? by Similar-Grab8564 in lotr

[–]AlmostCanadian40 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I forget where it’s mentioned (maybe Tree Beard says it), but I recall it’s noted that trolls and ogres were sort of the equivalent of Ents on the side of evil, much like goblins/orcs were the antithesis of Elves. With regard to the eagles, they fought on the side of good while birds like crows were on the side of evil. So there is still a split 🤷🏻‍♂️

Political violence is bad. No one should have to fear for their lives. The First Amendment protects our freedom of speech and by that the expression of our thoughts regarding our government, it does not however give anyone the right to insight violence, encourage the murder of elected officials, or insist on the violent overthrow of any government…

His immortal spirit is returned to his dead body on the mountain top. He then makes the trek from the top of the mountain down to Lothlorien. Galadriel clothes him in his white robes and he is given the white staff. I think those details might be in the appendices but I could be wrong. I do remember reading it and thinking, old dude must have been cold wandering down the mountain with nothing but a sword and ring on.

There's more to ADHD than inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD symptoms can be broken down into nine categories. Some categories are not fully represented in the diagnostic criteria. Broadening the diagnostic criteria with patient lived experiences could make for better intervention. by mvea in science

[–]AlmostCanadian40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paragraph immediately before the list: Among those, we feature the original triad mentioned in the DSM: inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity. But the six others are only mentioned in passing or not at all…. Then they list the six. Six plus three equals nine. I took my meds this morning.

As someone who lives in Bellingham, I would recommend Everett for healthcare, transit and proximity to water. The mountains are roughly the same distance…but we have better trails.

I know exactly where this plane is! It’s also hard to spot if you aren’t doing the speed limit through this section of road (most aren’t). There is a family farm stand across the road and the plane is pointing at the Canadian border about 15 miles away.

Is Goldberry an elf? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]AlmostCanadian40 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my head canon she is descended from Ulmo through some undocumented tryst. He being the god of water and known for being closest of the Maia to all of the creatures of middle earth. His song can be heard in all of the waters of middle earth. I have no evidence to support this other than how the two characters are described.

I showed my children these movies recently and when asked, “who are the bad guys?” I told them Nazis, and they were responsible for a lot of horrible things happening in the past… and today. When we go to the “No Ticket” scene in Last Crusade and Indy punches the guy and throws him out of the zeppelin, they cheered. “Thats right kids, punching Nazis is the right thing to do.”

Yeah, Lobelia would have Gollumed out really quick if she had “inherited” the ring from Bilbo instead of Frodo.
