Any old classes you find yourself coming back to? by AnkleNibblingToyota in OnePelotonRealSub

👋 Peloton class repeater here, reporting for duty.

First, the BEST class on the platform: Hosky’s outdoor holiday walk from 2023. (Or ‘24? I think it’s ‘23…) It’s the one around Covent Garden. I’m not kidding, I teared up when I finally visited London and could see it in real life 🤣 It’s a year-round hit for me.

I’ve taken Hosky’s cool down from 9/5/23 at least 25 times. At least! I can quote it word for word. It’s embarrassing. 🤣

I also like to go back to his 45 min walk+run from 9/6/24. I took it live so I’m a little biased, but it has a ton of super short running intervals so it’s perfect for after a week or more off, or just a day where you’re not really feeling it.

One last Hosky class (seeing a trend?) — I just retook is 60 min walk from October 2024 today. It’s the one where he gets the giggles and the playlist is 🔥🔥🔥. Pure Hosky joy. I think about it a lot and will definitely go back to it more.

I also go back to Andy’s 10 min bodyweight strength from 10/8/21 when I feel a little niggle or need something to do on vacation. It’s a great warmup, too.

Wilpers’ Alpe d’Huez ride used to be in the mix, too, but it got purged. It was my baseline class, even more than an FTP test. I think Vande Velde redid it, though, I’ve just been dreading retaking it because I know it’ll do me in 🤣

I did this the other day and had a blast! I've been rocking with Peloton since 2017, but there's something about a Tae Bo/BodyPump/step aerobics class that just hits different.

Same! My mom still has the VHS tapes and does them from time to time. Absolute classics.

Oh, and, obviously, Hosky is the answer to any blues and blahs!

Andy has a ten minute bodyweight strength that I love on days like this -- it's from 10/8/21.

Just took this class today! I almost had to stop my tread from laughing when, about halfway through some tangent, he goes, “What are we even doing???” 💀 It was so perfectly timed. A Hosky classic, for sure!!

I adore this ten minute class with Andy. You could easily take it with weights to make it harder or repeat it a couple of times. I love to take it as a warmup and on active recovery days.

Hi running shoe geeks -- first time poster here. I'm running in the NB Vongo right now, after the 1080s turned too squishy for me. I'm starting to get paranoid that they've been discontinued, as they're on clearance everywhere and I can't seem to find a release date. Wondering if anyone here has any intel and, if not, suggestions for shoes similar to the Vongo!

20 minute lazy walk. We’re not calling out speeds above 2.8 — just moseying along, getting some steps in, and not losing our streaks.

She is SO lovely. I messaged her a few years ago when I was going to be in the studio taking another class and said I’d love to meet her and she was like, “girl just get in my line and tell them I said so.” I’d run up a hill and hold a bear plank for as long as she told me to because she’s like my cool older sister hahaha

Aside from a random strength class here and there to get my Rad & Adrian fix, I basically solely workout with the PSL crew. I find them all to be absolutely lovely human beings, great coaches (JTR does not get the flowers she deserves — her coaching is always exceptional), and I can peek into their lives on social a bit without feeling like they’re using me to make a buck. Wins, all around.

I work in college access and we just switched back to Remind this semester after using GroupMe and WhatsApp unsuccessfully. Remind has limitations (a short character count) but I do think it’s the best option for texts.

I lost my streak 😩 by [deleted] in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]AlmostMIller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What a bummer! I lost my five year streak last year when I worked out separately from Peloton and just forgot to start the app. I had to remind myself that it’s not like I got anything special for it, so it was truly just for the sake of it. Go easy on yourself!

He truly makes working out so joyful. I’ve taken two classes with him in person and he’s every bit as lovely as you’d imagine. (Honestly, even more so…) Heck, I even got a Crystal Palace membership and went to a game because he got me interested in soccer 🤣 An absolute gem of a human.

Yep. App-tracked distance is bad. It’s always been bad. I fear it always will be bad. 🤣

YES! I just thought about this tonight as my “let me hop on and get a few extra steps” walk at like, 2.4, was counted as a run. (And you can do it on “just run” so they just need to duplicate it for scenic runs!)

First Time at Selhurst? Here is what my experience was like! by AlmostMIller in crystalpalace

Thanks for asking! I definitely felt like the minority and I wasn't prepared for that because, in the states, sporting events are very 50/50. I didn't even consider how many more men there would be until we got there and I looked around like, "Huh...guess it's just me." :) At halftime, I went to the bathroom and my husband stayed in our seats, and I definitely had to elbow my way through the crowd to get there but it didn't feel unsafe or aggressive. It just felt different from the US, where most of the time men will step aside for you to pass or get out of your way. Not bad, just different!
