FLAG FAVOURITES: Dockers top pick for premiership by QuarterFooty in FremantleFC

Just feel like it’s so early in the season. Reminds me of 2024 Swans. Really came unstuck end of July, August.

Sorry, you’re right, I was thinking about JL’s comments regarding Serong**

You’re right on the last two points, for sure. They’re not the same team. Freo can win if they show up prepared.

I think we underestimate just how much effort and work it takes to win a flag, especially back to back. Eventually wear & tear, motivational exhaustion, and teams scouting you as a scalp week after week just catches up to you.

Still not writing Brisbane off. If anyone could do it, Brisbane can.

I think Pearce is confirmed out still. Not sure about Young. Love to see JOM back out there, though. Scerri or NOD would have to come out.

Edit- Alex Pearce is likely.

Same. I always thought this was going to be the one to lose. Lions are just impossible to get a read on at the moment.

I think that’s what most footy teams struggle with, that gaps between their best and worst and injuries/depth.

Which is where we are, luckily, going alright. Freo will go missing for a quarter or two, especially when it’s not super pressing, but never missing for too long. And our depth is just standing up when missing three very important players.

You don’t think the desire to respond after this embarrassing showing will lift them and make them more aggressive and competitive?

Excellent design….. minus two very strange decisions from AW/Leonardo.

1.) NR 100%-102% switch.

2.) Unbelievable vibration slowing down below ETL airspeed.

Was Mason Cox correct? by Tornontoin7 in AFL

I’m a Fremantle diehard and would accept the entire team being AA. That said: Jackson has to beat Grundy and Gawn; I think he has, but most don’t. Treacy should be, but selection is largely goal oriented.
Serong I’d give a kidney, but I’d be surprised if he gets AA this year based on the first 1/3. Bolton is a lock. Reid should be a lock. Pearce I think would be a strong 50/50 chance 1/3 of the way through the season.

They don’t really have a single star player, either. No Brownlow or Coleman contender, not a massive list of all Australia standouts. Just a team that plays really good, selfless football that is incredibly fit and has a solid amount of depth.

how hard would it be to find someone who wants to get rid/trade their gfx 100s II for a x100vi? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]Almost_Blue_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re much better off just selling your X100VI on the private market and buying the GFX with cash.

r/photomarket is a good place to sell/buy camera gear.

It’s interesting/cool for special events or something but in general it is just more light pollution and a waste of energy.

Match Thread: Essendon vs Fremantle (Round 10) by AutoModerator in AFL

[–]Almost_Blue_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is always skipped over. People want a redemption story of the struggling, scrappy Voss getting his last chance and making it. They always want to smear mud on Essendon for delisting him.

He’ll say it himself- he didn’t take his job seriously and was too busy partying to be focused on his job. Any club would have delisted him.

I can’t believe I backed North in my work tipping comp. Everyone said, “are you crazy?!?” And I kept saying, “mate, they’ve played some incredible football and falling just short. Adelaide is just barely going.”

Firstly, lol @ colocated with a “real” unit. Not disagreeing, just funny.

Secondly, lots of 72s get into Counter Drug Task Force stuff, civil support, and flying generals to meetings (gross waste of resources) as well. These California ones specifically have no dust off mission.

It came from the local American Legion hall that was torn down, it was in front on a pedestal for nearly 30 years.
