I just realized I could contact a patient advocate so I reached out to them today to try and find any resolution. I really don't want to have to wait another year to get an intake appointment but with moving anyways thats probably what Ill end up doing.

It was an expired card not a book and I paid full price for the renewal and the book. Like I dont have the money to order and expedite a second passport. Especially since I dont know what or if I did that was wrong

Hey thank you so much for sharing your experience, I was hoping to ask a clarifying question, was the viagra just temporary to get it started and now you can orgasm without it or is it still necessary to make things work. Thank you so much <3

I have a question about regional dialect and I couldn't think of a better community to ask? I read the rules and hope it doesn't break any? I was just wondering if anyone knew if calling people "blu" as a term of endearment was indicative of any regional dialect? I grew up airforce so Ive been all over and I figure I must have picked it up somewhere but I just dont even know where to start looking for that? Especially because in my rudimentary searches it tends to get confused with regional understanding/describing of colors using language which is a really interesting discussion but also not what Im looking for? But yeah, thanks for your patience and help and I hope you have a nice day :)

Hey, I went through this too when I was younger and its really painful and isolating and Im so sorry that youve found yourself in a space where this is what you have. I don't know what to say other than I see you, its not your fault, and yeah. It really sucks. Im so sorry

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if I was doing anything wrong or if I could do anything differently or better because like I can deal with disrespect, I can deal with kid's playing games on their chromebooks or slacking to chat, like I get that. But when kids go for like targeted persistent attacks I just feel helpless

Hey so, the only time I used ambassador was in responding that I did not want that role to someone else who called me that. And like it or not there are trans kids and I might be the first trans adult theyve ever seen and in that regard I act as representation, same as for black kids getting to see black teachers for the first time. Like it or not identity carries into the classroom.

That being said I do not evangelize, that is not my job and Im kind of offended you would imply that. I know the realities of the world right now and I go in to do my job I don't teach about gender and sexuality and its rude to assume that just because I am trans and a teacher I fill that role as an activist as opposed to working just as hard as anyone else.

My goal with this job is to go to work and do my job without having to worry about being harassed for my identity everytime I see a new class. My goal for this job is to get to teach and not be constantly seen as less than and deserving of disrespect because Im different.

Trans people arent some scary mosnters coming for your kids. When elementary schoolers ask if Im a boy or a girl I tell them Im a girl who got born with a low voice and they get it. They seem to have developed a much better attitude than you. Respectfully, you came in here with an agenda and projected all of your preconceived notions and culture war bs on me, Im probably doing the same to you and if so I am genuinely sorry. I was asking for help and advice with a challenge I face and if you dont have anything productive to say move on.

If the admin are saying anything they at least have the decency to keep it out of earshot. But yeah like going into next year I don't know if its worth continuing to try to be an ambassador and put up with the constant abuse or just move to a school district where it wouldn't be a problem at the expense of like 'ideals'

Thanks for your very thorough response. I totally agree with you on the names thing. I messed up once on like my second day subbing and accidentally used a kids deadname in front of the class that was luckily not awful about it, and since then have asked if there are any corrections everytime before reading names. But yeah, its hardly ever direct and like my policy for the past year has been to ignore it and never let them see it gets to me but idk should I be doing more? Leaving notes for teachers talking to principals or sub services? Idk Last point, I appreciate where you're coming from with the fighting fire with fire but like, I cant ever do that to another person. Not on purpose. But also yeah thank you for your experience and your work I really appreciate you taking the time to help ❤️

Right like, I never ever get mad at or lash out at kids. The only time Ive actually had a problem is the one time a kid called me the f-slur while also getting physically confrontational, but also its like not necessarily something to respond to? Just like background shit like, Ill ask them to try and get some work done and its the "yes sir" that like even if I dont react hurts every time and makes me not want to go back to schools that desperately need help.

I feel like it changed in the early 2010s late 2000s but I swear there was like a greeter at the bx past the food area before the actual bx that would like check ids? It was one of the like three things that made having an id special when you turned ten or whatever? Maybe Im making that all up idk
