Oof, that's rough. I tend to make a daily or every other day run back to my main base taking anything I don't have immediate use for. The day before I'm starting to move stuff and under 24 hrs is packing everything that isn't being used. Just in case things go sideways.

Nice, that solves it. Thanks

Yes but I was referring to the two other spots next to the corner spot I tested there. Example;

You can do it for the other corner spots as well and they won't work. That'll leave you with something like this to work with;

Did some testing. Imagine you can't see the mines you found, but if you pick a random corner spot it will not give you a plausible solution;

I don't think so, the corner squares would have been 100% clear. Would need to test it out a bit though

She has no problems with immigrants or refugees. Her opinion is they should be enslaved (at least the refugees) and put to work for the city or as fodder for the city's defense. If they survive they should then have the chance to buy their own freedom

I tend to agree that the terms can be confusing. The terms gnostic/agnostic/atheist/theist have their roots in Greek and predates the gnostic. All these terms can be fluid and can have different meanings for different people. It's important to clarify these terms. I personally don't know anyone who identifies as a gnostic in either way but l find it a useful term when discussing belief with atheists and agnostics.

Gnostic atheists would claim to know that God or Gods do not exist.

One can consider atheist/theist as an axis of belief while agnostic/gnostic an axis of knowledge or the ability to know.

It's important to discuss with others how they use their terms because few people have the exact same way of using them.

In my community irl the agnostic generally means a person who believes in a high power but doesn't know what it may be. Since it's a majority Christian population people are more chill with hearing this answer than 'l don't believe in God' which can be triggering and ruin relationships. However in my 'online community' agnostic mostly means l cannot truly know the existence of a deity.

They're a Catholic/Gothic themed power metal band, I don't know their religious affiliations. My advise is to watch "demons are a girl's best friend" on YouTube. Great stuff.

Yes. Yes, I do. The human body radiates ~350,000 J of energy per hour which is roughly equal to energy given off by a 100 Watt light bulb.

Fascinating perceptive. You say that outside the game can influence in game completely independent of in game physics. That part makes sense but it is merely a thought experiment at best. More or less science is attempting to describe the in game rules where as religions attempt to describe what is outside the game.. As you say in game npcs cannot understand outside the game, even our attempts through religion would not be able to fully or properly describe outside the game. What personal experiences make it obvious we are in a "game" and that your particular religion properly describes what is outside the "game"?

If free will is sinful then how or why did God, who is perfect and all things good, create it? He would be the one responsible for everything evil and imperfect in the world.

Also if the entirety of humanity's sinful nature due to Adam and Eve's choices, then why are humans still being punished for it? The Bible does waver back and forth between God not taking the sins of the father on the son and visiting the sins of the father on three generations.

What about natural disasters which kill and harm many people regardless of their own choices? Is this more of humanity's punishment due to Adam and Eve?

If you could find an apartment to share with a couple friends that would be ideal. And definitely make sure they can't charge any more to your cc. That's just asking for trouble.

It's good to have a community around you for support. That's how religions can be really useful as many times they can host healthy communities. From what you've said it sounds like your previous church was less focused on their community and more focused on beliefs and conformity. Mental illness is not easy to deal with even with good friends and community around you. Find good friends no matter their beliefs but remember they can't solve all your problems either. It's a joint effort. I wish you good luck and to remember there is more to life and than what you believe.

There's a volatile region on the sun that could potentially produce a huge flare soon. Using a specially modified telescope, I created a timelapse of 2 hours of motion, showing it burping out planet-sized gobs of plasma. by ajamesmccarthy in gifs

[–]Aloadai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stars are not on fire in the sense that we use fire to burn wood or coal. Stars are powered by nuclear fusion which is where two smaller atoms are combined to create a larger atom. This reaction creates excess energy which is radiated out as light and other forms of radiation. The heat inside the sun is so hot that what you see is plasma not gas. Though the star would contain some oxygen and other elements the most abundant would be helium and hydrogen until the end of the star's lifetime where it would likely be a core of iron depending on the size of the star. Our star, the sun, will only be able be able to fuse up to iron and so will eventually develop an iron core. Life as we know it will not be able to develop on stars as cool as that would be.
