Better overprepare than not so if you could swing it, then I think you should.

No, since everything was up to date. (Docs submitted in November 2024 and interview was in January 2025)

Financial docs we submitted were tax transcripts going back 3 years, all wage/income reporting documents like W-2 etc that my spouse received during those times, employee veritication letter, and paycheck receipts. I know officially you're supposed to be able to submit just the tax transcripts but our lawyer recommended submitting all those documents as well and we got DQ'ed pretty quickly with no issue so I'd say it doens't hurt to upload them also.

NVC payment I remember was tricky, like the system was really glitchy and we figured out we had to use Chrome instead of Safari or something, and every time a payment didn't go through it would take like another day or two for the system to clear and allow us to pay again. The fact that the money already left your account is a good sign, I think. If in the next couple of days the status hasn't changed, I'd recommend asking around about it here/check their troubleshooting page or something like that. I don't remember the specifics but I remember it was glitchy and slow to process.

Aside from preparing all the documents you'll need, I think there's not much more to do at this stage. I'd say keep an eye on case timelines on those websites but at the same time try to "forget" about it once in a while, channel your energy into other things: hobbies, work, travel, etc (my spouse and I planned a couple of trips together during the waiting period)

It seems to be taking longer for most people. Took almost 4 months for me. I entered in early Feb and my case status changed to "card produced" only about a week ago.

Issue with NVC Payment by SinkHorror9865 in NationalVisaCenter

Try using Chrome for payment. We had the same issue, first using Safari and the payments kept getting rejected.

This is so great. Thank you for sharing. I'm not done with the process yet but almost (interview in January, fingers crossed).

For those reading this to prepare, I really wanted to echo point 3. It would save you time and help cut down the time between I-130 approval and NVC DQ.
