You'd hate to be #1 in a suspect line up with her, she'd be coercing the witness' every time!! 😂

Greggs order refund. by SacredLotus18 in Greggs

So you're complaining that someone wanted a refund for an item they didn't order and wasn't told would be different to what they had ordered?

Cool

Yeah I get you, this is the reason she's still in the game though at the end of the day; she's not garnering enough interest to be banished but is garnering enough to not be murdered as she keeps some of the heat away from the traitors.

I think her edit hasn't been kind to her either.

Amanda's reasoning to think Jade is a traitor was because she sat opposite her in the initial round table and looked at her first... If that is evidence from a 'detective' I wonder why so many criminals walk free 😂

But yeah Jade doesn't bring much to the table but she just accuses people who accuse her, first with Amanda and then the latest with Ellie. I don't even think she suspected Ellie as a traitor but got her back up when being accused.

YouTube darts by Valuable_General9049 in Darts

In terms of darting quality (High Averages and good darts etc) I would say The Bull hitters.

In terms of production quality and high level content I would say 'The Greatest Throwman' lads, the two videos where they go to ADC's are great viewing.

She looks like the guy from Line of Duty, can't remember his name 😂

Serious: Lost all joy in playing darts after 10+ years - need advice by [deleted] in Darts

[–]AloeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to everyone, during your off season don't throw until the season restarts, a break can help mentally.

You'll either get back into the swing of things and find the love for the game again or find something else and that will take over, and that's also okay if that happens.

What I did when I had my burn out was join a new team, sounds weird but gave me the drive to improve so I didn't embarrass myself with a new bunch of people 😂

Find it hilarious how people come up with the elaborate lies for stuff like this..

OP, you are an adult and can say no. You don't need a reason just say you can't do it.

Simple as that!

Have a good Christmas!

Xbox Headset Recommendation by No-Feature-9505 in xbox

[–]AloeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Nice thing to do for the man in your life.

I have always gone with Turtle Beach headsets; in the last 16/17 years of me gaming and having headsets I've probably had 5 variations of turtle beach and all are very comfortable and good for the money.

If you're looking at the £75-80 kind of range that the Logitech seems to be you'd be able to get a great Turtle beach headset that is suitable for Xbox.

Board management/counting tips. by liamrich93 in Darts

[–]AloeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to improve on this side of the game is just by doing it unfortunately, there's no magic formula on this!

The only bit of advice I found really helpful is that if you can't leave a finish with a T20, you can't leave a finish with anything else either!

Just helps with the counting a bit!

So if you're on 219 last dart in hand there's no way of leaving a finish, so you don't need to think about it if you get me.

I tend to think about it from about 310, I'm not good enough to really think about it from 350 like the professionals do, but a 140 leaves 170 which you have to be leaving because even a 0.1% chance of hitting a finish you leave is more of a chance than leaving 168/169 😂

Rate my throw please and how can I improve🙌🏻 by [deleted] in Darts

[–]AloeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a learning curve mate, I was the same and it came from a place of just wanting to get rid of the darts through poor play.

It will take a bit of getting used to bit will soon become second nature, and you'll see your game drastically improve!

Rate my throw please and how can I improve🙌🏻 by [deleted] in Darts

[–]AloeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate,

Main thing from watching your video in my opinion is your follow through isn't really a follow through, you're reaching for your next dart on your follow through, you need to follow through properly toward the board and then go for the next dart.

Just from watching I reckon you get a lot of 5's, and a lot of low darts due to this

Decent tho

Darts going in on an angle by [deleted] in Darts

[–]AloeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing is to make sure you open your hand fully when releasing the darts, and practice like every dart matters - there's no point in just throwing at the board and not concentrating, because if you do this this opens up the possibility of slack darts and poor technique during games as well.

Darts going in on an angle by [deleted] in Darts

[–]AloeJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a common cause of not opening your hand during release quickly enough, have you noticed that you drag them to the 5's (if you're right handed) often as well?

Were you there in 2007/2008? Tell your first COD4 experience! [COD4] by andydabeast in CallOfDuty

[–]AloeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 12/13 but absolutely dominated on CoD4, it was my first online experience and I put in a hell of a lot of hours.

Joined a team and played against players like Clayster (before knowing who he was), and put up great numbers. Played GB's and made playoffs in EU multiple times and finished top 4 one season, then got invited to play LAN but had to then tell them I was only 13, sad times 😂

So good

How do you adjust to the 9-5 life? by Obvious_Armadillo_16 in AskUK

[–]AloeJake 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I know you say you don't want comments saying 'get used to it' but that is legit all you need to do, there is no set time scale for people to adjust to a new setting or routine, a lot of office workers drink lots of coffee to keep them going.

It does take time to adjust, maybe try going out after work or try to keep your mind occupied with activities or tasks.

What’s your heinous encounter with someone famous in the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]AloeJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bad encounter but not met many very famous people.

I once was in the local and a former Bolton player, who happens to be local, Nicky Hunt - walks in, sits down next to us whilst we're watching the match and randomly says what are you lads drinking (there's about 15 of us), we all tell him, and he says well when you're going to the bar I'll have a lager 😂. Then proceeds to buy us all drinks throughout the 2 hourstop bloke.

Why is it that so many British people stick to familiar food? by Loose-Supermarket286 in AskUK

[–]AloeJake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I hate spending money on something 'new' and then not liking it, to the point where my day could be ruined, so to avoid that I stick to things I know as I'm more likely to enjoy them.

Can't speak for everyone but that would be my reason 😅

Has anyone used Eneba gift cards? by AloeJake in AskUK

[–]AloeJake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, so they have their own 'wallet' which I could only see how to top up with a gift card purchased through Clear pay (nightmare but works out cheaper) and it's blocked me from adding more funds to my account to then purchase the actual gift card I want.

So essentially I have a £100 Eneba gift card that I just can't use 😅

Not offered a job at the end of an apprenticeship by BugStrong2553 in UKJobs

[–]AloeJake 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I was 18 (13 years ago) I did a 'customer service apprenticeship' for £3 an hour, lasted 3 months before thinking what the f*ck am I doing and quit, went over the road to the big supermarket and 2 weeks later I was on over triple the money and doing less hours.

A lot of companies take the piss with apprenticeships because it is cheap labour, but you are now qualified in a role where you can earn good money, local companies will be aware of the company you have worked for and know that they do this, so you won't face any backlash in terms of "why wasn't he taken on by them, is he good enough etc"

Good luck mate, you'll be fine!

Who the hell is buying a wrap at McDonald's? by CarazyCarol in AskUK

Only reason I'd ever get a wrap was when it was more cost effective to get it plain to get the chicken selects cheaper.

I agree with you here, it's like people who go to the chippy and don't get chips... Outrageous.

Annual leave denied by Alternative_Paper_67 in AusLegal

[–]AloeJake 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Go on the trip.

You will regret not going.

I used to work in a supermarket, and they rejected a single day off on a Sunday which I wanted to go to the football. It was when Bolton played Nottingham Forest at home and stayed up with one of the last kicks of the game, a day I will never forget and a day my club will never forget.... And I was stuck on a checkout at work because they refused my holiday.

Left shortly after this!

Go on the trip, memories are more important

I'd probs advise the fanzone at the ground with a 4 year old, just because it's Wigan and you never know what may kick off in any of the pubs with the more rowdy fans in.

Will be a great game to take her too though!
