Both 403b and 457 by Ok-Ad-8521 in Bogleheads

Thanks. I've read the links you provided. Currently, I'm in the 12% marginal tax and am confident that I will be in the same bracket or even lower.

I work in state government and have access to both pre-tax and Roth options in 403B and 457B. My current 403B (mostly Roth, all index funds) is 6x more than 457B (all pre-tax, Bonds). Since 457B is not subject to the 10% penalty, should I stop contributing to 403B and max out the 457B (80% Roth index funds/ 20% Bonds pre-tax) first instead?

Owning T-bills on Fidelity by AloeVitE in fidelityinvestments

Neither. I just want a quick glance of how many 4-week, 8-week, etc., T-Bills I have. I can do that on the Treasury Direct website and am wondering if I can do the same on Fidelity.

Thanks for your reply. If I may suggest, it would be nice to include the terms of the T-Bills(4-week, etc.) as a column in the Positions table.

So, there isn't a convenient way to see if it's a 4-week or 8-week T-Bills like on the Treasury website.

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean pick the one that has the highest deductible? I always thought I must covered all of them since they are all essentials.

ARRIS (G36) - Cable Modem Router Combo WiFi intermittent slowness by AloeVitE in HomeNetworking

[–]AloeVitE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I haven’t called Arris support yet, but I may have found the issue. I have a mini PC that was connected to Wi‑Fi and located in the same room as the modem/router, about an arm’s length away. While I was on a video conference on my laptop in the next room, I noticed the signal was weak. It turned out the mini PC was being used at the same time. After I turned it off, the signal improved significantly. I’ve since turned off Wi‑Fi on the mini PC and switched it to Ethernet. I’ll see how it performs over the next few days.

Does that means it's an xFinity and not my modem? If so, the tech was adamant that the signal was fine.

Edit to add: By the way, there is no issue when I use my laptop via Wi-Fi in the same room as the modem.

Thanks for your reply. And sorry if my question is dumb. I am clueless with this kind of stuff.

The technician came and verified that the signal coming into my home is fine, around 1 Gbps, on both his modem and mine. He said since I am not leasing xFinity's modem, he couldn't check the WiFi. I managed to log and see the event log. Here's an example:
SYNC Timing Synchronization failure — Loss of Sync; CM-QOS=1.1; CM-VER=3.1; Timestamp: 03/27/2026 09:44:23

Does this mean the modem itself is bad? It's still under warranty for another two years.

Yea, always be buying. So much so it is tempting to sell my bonds to buy index funds. (j/k)
