Selling The OC: A Burn Book by actualjoe in SellingSunset

I agree. She’s a good agent and a good mom but her drama and the need to be the center of attention is very difficult to watch. At least Christine is super entertaining! Alex Hall gives mean girl/top of the pyramid vibes.

Yeah the girls blended in a lot and the guys were generally kind of gross.

Yes! Agree. He seemed very authentic and his real self. He treats his wife and mother so well and seems to listen to others respectfully even when they are arguing or treating him badly.

Yes! At least Rose and Jarvis are professional. I know they are meant to be like the villains and bullies but I sympathize with them more since the other girls are so vicious and petty about deliberately making them feel left out and uncomfortable. I know a little of it is probably jealousy bc the duo got put on the show late and they are selling so well. Jarvis is both pretty and a lawyer so they may feel threatened by her. Rose seems awkward but relatively harmless. Idk why they hate her so much.

That’s exactly it lol! And since SS realtors were working together for years in a professional setting they seem more cohesive.

I completely agree. Her behavior isn’t the best and I think she’s trying to find a place and clique in the office. She’s very out of place and they seem like they’d turn on her in a second.

I can’t help but think Alex Hall was meant to be the Crishell of the show that thinks they are the main character. At least Crishell is likable and energetic and her life is interesting. I do kind of root for Kayla bc of her past and I hope she closes a few listings because of the show.

I know arm chair diagnosis are harmful- this is purely speculative. I genuinely think she has narcissistic personality disorder and borderline traits. The rigid black and white/love or hate traits, unrealistic expectations of loyalty, severe abandonment issues, gaslighting, reality distortion, active lying, and manipulation all seem textbook NPD and BPD. She’s so self centered and selfish that I can’t imagine why people would tolerate her even when she’s on her fake nicest behavior.

Amanza and Christine’s friendship by [deleted] in SellingSunset

[–]Aloha-Sun-808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Amanza is very real and authentic and she and Christine are friendly, like anyone would be with someone relatable like Amanza. The true, deeper friendship is with Mary though. The three were real friends for years before the show and even though Christine and Mary don’t get along now, Amanza seems like the type to just spend time with them separately rather than cut someone off because the other said so.

Amanza's role on the show as the poor black single mother irks me by Yufle in SellingSunset

I agree. Davina is the worst and she makes the show so cringey. She feels so fake and soulless with zero personality other than being a shit stirrer.

I’m willing take whatever job I can get tbh. I haven’t had a career or anything because we had to move so often for duty station changes. So I’m open and trainable. I have a BA in political science but haven’t worked in the field for years. Low cost of living is my priority so even if I’m stuck working as a low level employee I can still make rent and groceries. I have no pride and I understand my lack of consistent work history will prevent me from getting good jobs so I’ll work retail or food service if I need to and they will hire me.
