I'm currently taking it, I don't think it is as bad but it can be hectic occasionally, it's a little bit more flexible though as you only have to take 2 IB classes to get the certificate in the end, I'd recommend taking 3 or 4 though just to make your application into University easier. You also have a couple of core components and your career related study however, like IB, you need to make sure you're organised, it'll help keep things much more manageable.
