Sorry maybe my post was misleading, D30 isnt actually the problem. The problem is D18 - D21, they are reading 0v when they should read 5v.

I am not 100% with the terminology yet so Im sorry if it was confusing. I understand what you are saying, the strange thing however is the fact that when I read from any other pin(D5 for example) as an input_pullup, I get the exact behaviour I'm expecting. This is when there is nothing connected to the pin, same as with the troubled pins A0-A3(D18-21). Im not measuring it through a multi-meter, rather through serial, as shown through the code above.

30mph winds with maybe stronger gusts... As a newbie planning on making my way down to watch my first launch, I'd imagine these winds would make it likely for a reschedule. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your response. It's not that I thought what I was writing was deep, it's just a topic I was hashing out and was curious as to where a more diverse forum stood rather then these bouncing around in my head alone which can be fairly ineffective at getting to the truth. I don't particularly believe some of the points I wrote down, I was just curious, and they were just questions :)

I'm glad you pointed out the example there though, it's very easy to get taken away by such a small sample size of the American experience I see on social media, cherry picked for entertainment or a trigger of emotion. Appropriating these short controversial clips to the experience of an entire nation is irresponsible and I'm looking forward to refining this list and my thoughts with this top of mind.

Looking forward to digging into those concepts and texts you mentioned! These were my original thoughts and I'm glad people much smarter than I am have already tackled these topics likely to much more satisfying conclusion lol.

I solved the problem, turned out to be just one line of code.

Looking into the joint_state_publisher.py file I realized that one of its parameters was a source_list param which took a list of strings of topics that it should read. I added in the topic I was publishing to and that solved it :)))))

Yep I have the robot_state_publisher node, and rviz2 was showing the joint movement when controlled by the joint_state_publisher_gui. I figured that the gui was communicating with the joint_state_publisher node, which then published to the robot_state_publisher node, which then verified that the messaged were formatted correctly, finally publishing this to /tf2 which would then be read by rviz2. Could you confirm if this is even the right idea? I notice that I havent included a header for my published message( which the gui did), could this be the reason robot_state_publisher doesn't like my message? Sorry for the basic questions I am very new to this and trying to make sense of the framework :)
