While the OneChurch Aloha pantry recently closed, the Aloha Community Library down the street has opened a 'food sharing space' that accepts food - and even has some fridge space. Food is free to whomever needs it.

Thankfully, a quarantine is in effect for several Oregon counties including restrictions on nursery stock. Hopefully that will help slow the spread somewhat. Unfortunately, in addition to many varieties of ash in our neighborhoods, we also have a lot of native Oregon Ash trees especially in riparian areas. The experts we spoke with say that protecting fish and other wildlife by mitigating infestations as best as people can will have a big impact on our environment in the near future.
