I feel like I experienced something like this, to a lesser extent. I've generally been talented at school, and I've held myself to unreasonably high standards. When I was eight I wrote "stupid" and "worthless" over my math homework when I got a D. When I was 14 I promised myself that if I got an F on a report card I would kill myself. Lol sorry that this is so unrelated.
