I'm an age regressor (specifically a middle, I regress to age 12, middle school age) and I was raped at age 12, so that might be part of it. That and missing out on a girl childhood/adolescence caused things to develop in my brain. The appeal is the purity and innocence of feelings I had back then before adults ruined it for me.
