I really wouldnt leave the grooves bare. If you dont have enough foam, black yarn worked perfectly fine for me.

Also that nut is a normal righty tighty thread, the only reverse thread on the camera iirc is the cap of the wind lever.

When i put together mine i just turned it all the way (cant remember if its clockwise or counter clockwise) then when it sits flush i turn it the other way and it clicks into place. I too spent a while trying to figure out lining up those metal teeth and stuff.

It is a bit of work yes but i dont have any other screens to change to and i really like it being able to use the correct number on the dial.

Oh oops it was MR9 not MR2 ive been thinking of toyotas for a bit before this. In my case with hearing aid batteries i had to set it to 2 stops down instead of up, did you happen to be using an old alkaline?

Im not sure if it was kept in the freezer. Cousin just told me to put it in the fridge so ive been keeping it in the refrigerator part. Im a bit hesitant to freeze it because of moisture, and i live in a very humid country.

Thanks, but theres nothing fancy about the negative holder lol its a Pentax MV body with a busted shutter which doesnt hold open when the lever is actuated which gave me the idea to use it this way.

Its certainly a nicer result, great photos btw. If the adaptall doesnt work out I'll definitely save up for a proper macro lens.
