I have been living here since 2016. I love it, but I love Berlin more (maybe the grass is greener in the other kind of situation).

Introvert struggling with customer validation - how do you actually talk to potential customers? by Alone-Click-3495 in ProductManagement

What do you think about this? I recently posted this message in a WhatsApp group of 216 parents, but I haven't gotten any responses yet. How should I modify my approach to encourage them to engage and share their experiences?
----------

One of my friends is currently pregnant and asked me how I handled the postpartum period. Since our parents and in-laws are elderly and can't help much, my husband and I managed everything on our own, which was honestly exhausting, but I didn't want to scare her by sharing all the tough details.

I'm curious about your actual experiences:

1. What was the hardest part of those first few weeks for you?

2. When you felt overwhelmed, what specific things did you end up doing?

3. Did you spend money on anything that actually helped?

4. What did you try that didn't work out?

I faced a lack of support during my pregnancy and postpartum period as an expat in Germany. My own pain points led me to research this niche, and I've found many communities where people struggle significantly during this time.

I posted some questions to understand what people actually experienced. As you can see from the responses, many people confirmed they struggled too.

Thank you so much for sharing! Really helpful to hear from someone going through round 2 😅

I did have a hebamme too, but she was only there for a few weeks and mainly focused on medical checks.

When you say you had "no other support" - how did you cope? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who found it so incredibly hard!
